Very nice arrows. You’d expect to pay much more. The rear section is EXTREMELY grippy, which I was not expecting. Probably too much for me, but I’m going to play them for awhile and see if they eventually dull a little. But I’m impressed with these, even if they don’t turn out to be my go-tos.

The tulip glass is the standard…

… and with good reason. But we love an old school nonic pint pot just the same! Happy Friday lads

US Prime Day deals

Some nice deals to be had for those of us in the US. Blade 6 boards up to 40% off (including Triple Core and 360). I especially like the bundle pictured here: this stuff would likely cost $175+ if purchased separately at full price. Target Tor and Aspar at deep discounts as well. Among other things. Poke around and see if there’s anything you need (or “need”)!

Good news and bad news about Newcastle Brown Ale

The good news: Apparently NBA - the real stuff from Tadcaster, not the overhopped Lagunitas imposter swill - is being distributed in my area again.

The bad news: They’re still shipping it over here in clear bottles, rather than brown bottles or cans, so it’s skunky as hell.

What a waste.

Which is quieter? Harrows Fortis vs. Samurai 4

Someone else just recently asked about the differences between these two boards, but none of the replies answered the question that is most important to me: which one is quieter?

I often practice late at night after my family goes to bed and while I love my Blade 6, it’s extremely noisy (particularly after a couple years of tenderizing the sisal), so I’m looking to invest in whatever will help me keep the noise down.
