Thoughts on ultra-leftism?
I know Stalinism is the primary co-opter and counterrevolutionary force among the communist movement, though I’m curious to hear some thoughts on Pannekoek and Bordiga.
From my view they’re hypocritical falsifiers while praising theoretical purity, they claim every attempt to build revolutionary consciousness or dual power is voluntaristic, they claim any maneuvers such as presenting a transitional program via a parliamentary candidate is opportunism, etc etc. Furthermore, I see them reducing Marxism into a crude formula of economic determinism, stating both that revolutionary consciousness will spontaneously arise out of poor conditions and that the transitional stage of socialism must look near communistic for it to be genuinely progressive.
I also see them claim that both Stalin and Trotsky are not so different theoretically, saying both are just social democrats with one being a “bourgeois legalist”.
What’re your thoughts on these positions and the ultras as a whole?
instead of class warfare why not… class collaboration?
i mean think of the possibilities. we could have the state be super involved to mediate this class collaboration and we could have state integrated unions where bosses and workers work in peace! it would be amazing!
