Meta’s Ban Wave Is Out of Control Time to Migrate

(I use AI to enhance my English since it’s not my first language)

I want to share my experience with Meta’s ongoing ban wave and why I believe it’s time we start migrating to other platforms.

A couple of months ago, one of my established Instagram accounts was suspended. I appealed, but it sat “under review” for 3 months. In August, I created a new IG, verified it, and an agent escalated my case — my old account was reopened. But just 6 hours later, it was suspended again. This time, the appeal failed, and the account was permanently disabled.

I tried every “tip” you’ve probably heard: new phone, new Gmail, new number, new IP, even staying off Meta apps for 2 months. None of it worked. The account I created last month (July) is still present, but it has no presence of myself — I have no interest in establishing it because I know they’re just going to suspend it eventually.

Meta clearly knows about the ban wave and instead of fixing it, they’ve doubled down on aggressive AI moderation.

This hurts average users, content creators, and small businesses. Marketing, networking, and growth are becoming impossible under these conditions. That’s why I’ve spent the past 5 months looking for alternatives — and here’s where I’ve landed:

X → Loving it for business-related content. No drama, no noise, just knowledge.

Whee → A TikTok-owned app that feels like old Instagram. No endless scroll, just photos, stories, and highlights. Highly recommend if you want the closest IG replacement.

Snapchat, Pinterest, and VSCO → All solid for niche communities and creative sharing.

MySpace revival → Rumored to relaunch as an app soon. If true, it could be a game-changer.

👉 My point: the more of us migrate, the more pressure Meta will face to tone down its AI bans. If we keep creating new accounts only to be suspended again, they’ll never take action.

INSTAGTAM BAN WAVE

Hello everyone. I wanted to share this to encourage others who are going through the same thing.

My Instagram accounts have been repeatedly disabled, and this is now the 16th account that has been suspended or disabled. My first experience with this happened in November 2025. Since then, every new account I've created has eventually been permanently disabled.

In some cases, I was able to successfully appeal the suspension and get the account reinstated. However, after some time, Instagram would suspend it again and eventually permanently disable it.

Just two days ago, my business account for selling digital products was permanently disabled. My personal account was also permanently disabled, along with another personal account that had almost no activity because I only used it as a backup account.

At this point, I've come to the conclusion that this massive ban wave is getting out of control. What's even more concerning is that Meta hasn't publicly addressed the issue. When I searched "Meta ban wave" on X, I found over 119,000 search results discussing it. I also checked the Google Play Store reviews and saw thousands of users reporting similar problems, with many blaming the platform's automated moderation systems.

Because of how unstable the app feels right now, I've decided to delete all of my Meta apps and stop using them altogether. My advice to anyone experiencing the same issue is to consider doing the same. There seems to be little point in creating new Instagram accounts if they can be automatically flagged by AI and eventually permanently disabled.

Hopefully Meta acknowledges the problem and makes meaningful changes, but until then, I'm done with their platforms.
