Hey guys,

Aussieman here.

Looking for a replacement system for a dying desktop. Bought my dad a Geekom minipc a while back because it was a great price, but ive read mixed reviews about them on here.

Are minipc's still the budget friendly way to compute?

Whats a good recommendation for something reliable, available in Australia with low risk of getting stranded by a Chinese manufacturer.

And around the $600 - $800 mark?

All my resource heavy computing is on a work PC I remote into, so usage would be light. Office work. Kids homework. Maybe some light gaming.
