I have been uploading JPG files to lightoom through my pc or phone (app) easily with no hiccups. Today I shot in raw for the first time on my new Canon R8 and everything copied over fine to my pc. There are JPG and .CR3 files for each photo. I have tried uploading the raw file to lightroom web in 3 different formats with no luck. it just says "upload failed". Im new to photography and I'm not sure if im missing something.

I just installed the lightroom classic for desktop and it seems to work right now. But I would prefer to just use the web version.

I've always wanted to get a proper camera and start practicing photography. My biggest thing is that I want something that will translate well to underwater photography in the future as diving is a passion of mine. I've mostly read up on photography from a diving perspective and many recommend the R10 as the best bang for your buck. But it seems like for not too much more I can get an R8 with a full sensor. With shooting in dark underwater settings this seems like a huge advantage. Ultimately I want something that is good all around and not too complicated. Are there any other significant differences between the two?
