Just got a Blackstone and have questions before my first cook.
I just set up my Blackstone 28" XL gas powered grill today. It has the omnivore grill plate and says it comes pre-seasoned. However, there was a huge poster on the griddle surface when I unboxed it and it appears to have rubbed off patches of season (see pic). As of now, all I have done is hosed down the griddle plate with water, per the instruction manual, and dried it off with paper towels.
My question is, based off of the picture, is it recommended that I re-season the griddle? I do have the Blackstone brand seasoning/conditioner. But if that's not necessary, I'd like to get straight to cooking. I'm really just worried about ruining my new grill right from the start. Thanks in advance for any advice.
