Finally! Now I just need it to start giving me some Leblanc activities and I may have the usual boss trophy by the 2nd anniversary!

Chihaya's spawn rate is crazy considering that trophy only required doing it 20 times.

Who says you need positive willpower to beat Tartarus?!

Joking aside, I actually beat the last boss with willpower at -92. After winning, it dropped another 19 points and it counted for the Mission 16 requirements.

  1. My third mini. First unique/special unit and my first kitbash. I used the GW techmarine model as the base and added resin apothecary parts and used a Deathwatch helmet. Slicing the pistol hand off and reattaching it to the narthecium arm was kinda terrifying. It's a bit crowded and there's a lot going on, but I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

Emperor's Spears Tech Druid with grav pistol, omnissian axe, forge bolter, servo arm, and mechadendrite along with a narthecium gauntlet and injector servo arm.

I wanted to have him actually look like a techmarine and apothecary rather than just one or the other. I also painted the tech skull sigil on the chest in the style of Bellona, although I omitted the weeping blood. Just didn't think I could do a detail that small and have it look good.

Since he already had a full backpack, I attached the injector to the mechadendrite. I imagine it relatively out of the way right now, but can shift forward to be used when needed. Also added an extra pouch and canopic jars to his right leg.

Great-Just glad everything fit.

Not so great-The white parts are noticeably sloppier than the rest. Not sure if the weather changing affected the paint or what, but it was pretty bad. Going to get a can of white primer before I have to paint large pieces or sections white again.

Things to work on-Paying attention and calmly thinking things through. I plastic glued the servo arm the wrong way, so it was facing backwards and I couldn't rotate it to be under correctly because of the connector triangle. So I cut it off and above the joint and faced it the right way (which is why its above the pistol arm instead of below it) before gluing it back together. Only then did I realize I could have just cut the connector triangle off and simply spun it to be in the correct place.

So that's my first kitbash done! Any constructive criticism or critiques welcome. No idea what my next one will be other than simpler. This one was fun and interesting, but it was stressful. Also want to improve my painting and try some new techniques.

The Emperor's Spears' techmarines, chaplains, and librarians are all called druids and double as apothecaries.
