R2 NACS J1772 and CCS adapters

R2 NACS J1772 and CCS adapters

I will sell both as a bundle for $150. I will pay for ground shipping.

I ordered these two adapters from Gear Store for my new R2 long before I realized Rivian provides these for free in California.

These are the ones they shipped me after I picked up my R2 last week. In original boxes, unused.

I will only accept offers from those states where these are NOT offered for free.

R2 Internet radio - mostly improvement

I have an R1S, and just picked up my R2 Tuesday. The R1 has an actual radio tuner, which R2 removes, using Internet radio.

In the R1, I have a highway spot near my house where the tuner always starts picking up some other station or dropping out entirely. In my R2, this spot worked without any issues since it is running over Internet, which in R2 uses the new 5G modem (also an improvement over the 4G modem in R1). So improved.

I did, though, notice some new R2 behavior at home. When at home the R2 connects to my home WiFi, and the car explicitly states that it does NOT also connect to 5G when WiFi is connected. (In R1, both WiFi and 4G could be connected simultaneously). So initially the Internet radio is using my home's WiFi. As I drive away from home, the car has to hand off from home WIFi to 5G, and during this hand-off the radio was slightly disrupted. It only lasted about 5 seconds though. So slightly worse, but very minor.

PSA: Referral code not usable for R2

I have R1, and thus have a referral code. It cannot be used for R2, as confirmed with Rivian. It is in the terms and conditions of referral program.

https://rivian.com/legal/rewards

NOTE: If you have an R1 and get another R1, you can refer yourself. I did this in going from R1S Gen1 to R1S Gen2. Just cannot use it for R2.

Mitsubishi mini-split multi-zone Auto- mode mayhem: anybody else seeing?

I'm trying to figure out if this is just me or others are seeing their zones change their scheduled setting spontaneously in Auto mode.

I have a Mitsubishi mini-split with 4 zones upstairs in a group sharing one outdoor unit. The 4 zones are 3xMSZ-EF09, and 1xMSZ-EF12. All 4 zones have the PAC WiFi dongle and I manage them through the Comfort app. ODU is MXZ-4C36, so sizing/load is not an issue.

I have the 4 zones set to a schedule. At 7am every day they set to Auto 69-75. They start off fine. The zones heat up during the day, and are fine until one zone hits 75, and starts Cooling. The others are usually around 72-74, so they will need cooling soon. But the other zones will randomly change their set temps to 69-69. This looks like a bug in their control firmware. I been trying to get them to fix this for over a year. I figure if others are seeing the same, it must be a big issue, and Mitsubishi/Trane would fix it. But maybe I am the only one seeing it.

I'm fairly sure from what I've seen in this group that other brands can do muti-zone Auto fine.

Rivian Assistant send-message not working, possibly too many contacts

I already have a ticket for this with Rivian, so more of PSA if others are getting same issue.

When I get in the vehicle, syncing contacts takes over 10 minutes (I have over 4K contacts due to work). During this time, as you would expect, trying to send a message results in "cannot send, contacts still syncing". But after the sync does finally end, the message persists forever. Sending messages has never worked for me. It's a brand new feature so teething pains expected.

Receiving messages works fine.
