I looked at Plex DVR a few months ago and wasn't too impressed. I looked again and it seems to have some more features, so either my memory is wrong or they added some? I don't recall the ability to have it automatically keep/delete episodes after watching. I think the ability to only record new episodes there last time, but don't remember. I still use SageTV for my HDHomeRun and TV recording.

Anyway, has Plex updated their DVR offering in the last 6 months? Or was this status quo?

Coming from Plex, their Live TV option allows for my Roku client to play the stream from an HDHomeRun natively in MPEG2 format without transcoding. Yes the .ts stream needs to be put in an MKV container by Plex, as it does so, but the video is still native.

I can't figure out how to get Emby to do the same. All my TV watching is transcoded to H.264 and there is noticeable lag when starting a channel.

I'm getting close to retirement and one of the recommendations I see over and over is to keep 1-2 years of expenses in "cash". I assume that doesn't literally mean you keep like $50-100K worth money not making any interest? If most of my money in Fidelity, does the default money market that sits around 3.5% qualify? Or is there a better option that is still liquid?

Does anyone have a recommendation to replace the those little Opple Lightmaster Pro Bluetooth measuring devices? I'm looking for all the same functions such as CCT, CRI, DUV and Flicker. I realize the "next step up" will be more expensive.

So, I just spent the last couple weeks trying to find a fee-only advisor for my future retirement and I haven't had much luck. I visited those fee-only recommendation web sites and of 2 or 3 people I contacted ended up being AUM.

The ONE company I contacted said they would help me to the tune of $8K, which is 2x what I expected. I need something that'll be worth more than what I gleaned from ChatGPT.

Does any have any recommendations?
