[1794] Words being used

Is it me or have the words being used changed in the puzzle? When Wordle first came up, all the words were, at least it seemed to me, uplifting or positive in nature. It seemed to change after the NYT bought it. It used to be a semi-clue I kept in the back of my mind, if I thought the possible solution was a negative word I knew that wasn't the solution.

I know the original puzzle had a 2,000 word database and perhaps the NYT didn't like the thought of re-using solutions?

I'm not complaining just wanted a little validation.

Today's solution would never have been used in the original game IMHO

No more sniping?

Got a notice when I logged into eBay saying from now on, any bid placed in the last 60 seconds would reset the auction end time by adding 60 seconds to it. If this is true is a huge, fundamental change in the way eBay works and has worked since its inception and I'm very surprised not to see a large discussion of it here.

Being treated for anemia (iron transfusions) and got a huge urge for a Filet-O-Fish which I have not had in many years. I've heard the body knows what it needs/lacks and it will make you crave it. Usually it's spaghetti sauce when my iron is low but this time I just had to have a fish sandwich. Oh my gosh! Either the patty is way smaller as is the bun or I'm misremembering but darn are they small. And a medium Filet-O-Fish meal is almost $10! Yikes! My wife then said the sit-down restaurant two doors down has fish and chips for $14. I think if the fish craving strikes again I'm grabbing the fish and chips! Talk about shrinkflation and pricing themselves right out of the market.
