Hi all, im looking to commision some bits from a few smiths in Ukraine and had a question regarding payment. From what i know PayPal doesnt allow goods and services payments in Ukraine therefore the only method would be friends an family with no protection. Can anyone advise what to do in this situation whether this is normal and you rely on the reputation of the smith or is there a more common alternative to insure your protected to a degree? Any information would be helpful thank you.

Hi all, does anyone know much about maille skirts in the 15th century as in what contstruction would have been common. Looking to pick one up at some point which would sit under the cuirass with longer english styled faulds. Would 8-9mm be acceptable or would 6mm rings be more common place? Any information which would help me identify what specifications i would need will be helpful. Thanks.

Hi all im currently in the process of putting together a harness and am looking for some advice regarding maile. I am in the process of getting my undergarments finished and to my knowledge the next thing for me to explore will be maile then plate. For reference im building a harness dated around the late 14th early 15th c which purpose will be for SCA but also want it to be durable enough for some full contact.

Im looking to commision a maile skirt and standard. My undergarments are currently being produced by Quiverstock and i can see they also do maile. One question i have is has anyone had any experience with maile from quiverstock and if it would suit my needs also are there any other producers or maile that i can explore thats not going to surpass 1000s of $/€.

Would appreciate any advice on this as its my first time buying maile and i have tried to look into it vastly.
