Hey guys, curious how you judge rankings for a local business. Say I'm trying to compare where a particular roofer lands in their respective areas, what surfaces are you actually looking at?

For a local home service business, are you putting all the emphasis on their GBP and where they show up in maps? Is looking at the map pack basically the same as maps, or do you treat them separately? And do the regular blue links even matter much for local search anymore? Just trying to get a sense of how you all weigh it. Thanks.

So I run a small agency that’s relatively new with a handful of clients. I am a manager on all their Google Business Profiles. I recently requested API access to help streamline the work and build some internal tooling around it. But it’s been 2+ weeks and I have not gotten a response back yet. In this typical?

I’ve heard rejection rates on the API are high, so what are my realistic chances here? I feel like I’m the typical use case they approve - agency with manager access across multiple profiles.
