Finally Finished - End State

Rides like a completely new bike. Haven’t weighed yet, but it will be light. (It’s a medium, and I feel a lot less stretched now too, cause even at 5’9”, it felt too long at stock)

Open to questions, but here’s some highlights.

Carbon everything possible, except bars and frame.

Full Sword group (not black) and 1x chainring and cranks conversion

It was a lot of work, had to buy a bunch of tools, including purpose built ones (like a tool to get the square taper off). Learned a lot, filmed almost all of it. I’ll probably make a lessons learned video, but for now, I’m going riding.

I’m probably in this thing for around $1200 everything said and done, and I’m not sure of anything better I could have bought off the shelf for that.

Referral Code 3 months free FSD and Tip for YL

If you are considering the Model YL launch edition, it makes sense to max it out. (Paint, seats, wheels.) You’re otherwise paying extra for a lower configuration. Use my referral if you found this helpful.

Ants love nasal crusts

I had a couple surgeries in my Nasopharynx, occasionally I purge one of these things (falls down my throat). Threw it on the ground near an ant hole, they’ve been going crazy over it.

Sirrus X 4.0 Large too big?

I just got this Sirrus X 4.0 off FB marketplace, it's in great condition. I think I paid a fair price ($800 considering it only had about 100 miles on it). I'm now rethinking getting a large. I have a medium Ozark Trail G.1 Explorer drop bar and I do like that size. As for this, should I have tried to go for a medium? I've only put a few miles on it so far, and it does feel like I'm reaching a bit. I've moved the saddle forward to it's most forward position, and I'm considering a stem replacement. I believe the stock is 90mm, so I was thinking a 60mm stem to move the handlebars back a bit. Open to any suggestions. Flip the bike, mod it, I'm on the fence here, any help is appreciated.

Edit: I'm 5'9" tall, about 180lbs.
