Well, that hasn't happened in a long while (S25E02 spoilers)

This is the first time since Season 18 that the blue team won opening night dinner service while the red team got kicked out, and the first time since Season 17 that the men won opening night dinner service while the women got kicked out.

(I also like how the episode made it something of an expected outcome by earlier showing the men locking in with studying the menu, while the women were more... nonchalant about it, let's say)

Fiore's beaming smile here when Ren talks about his graphic design hobby gives me LIFE

That is GENUINE interest and happiness there; it's heartwarming to see. As if it wasn't clearer that Ren's gotta be Fiore's new favourite person from DC.

I'm eagerly awaiting the Rescue Island episode for one reason

It'll be an episode separate from the competition, more focused on the characters themselves. And between DC4's Rescue Island episode, the motel episodes of previous seasons, and the entire TomJake miniseries, these character-focused episodes are consistently my favourite official Disventure Camp videos (honestly, you can throw the comics in there as well)

It seems to me that ONC's biggest writing strength lies in character writing not involving the competition, and I have no reason to believe this season's will be any different, especially with how well-received the Fans have been from what I've seen. It should be more interesting with THIS season in particular, considering how some of the players currently residing there had been acting, plus there are some loose ends to tie up (I'll say it again: please give Aiden the humility he sorely needs)

I just want Aiden to have his moment of humility

I wasn't closely involved with the DC community while I was binging S1-4 (partially because I didn't want my opinions to be swayed by others and also because I was scared of it) but from what I could gather, Aiden was a fan-favourite in DC2 and All-Stars. He was certainly one of my favourites, at least. But in FvF, his personality took a turn and he got more antagonistic, bitter and to many, annoying, and now he's become extremely divisive; not the same Aiden I assume many people loved.

I could call that "character assassination" but I can't concretely do that yet because the truth is, the season isn't over. Aiden's journey is potentially not over thanks to Rescue Island. There is a chance for him to have a moment of humility that could possibly lead to redemption. And what I'm hoping/predicting that'll be is him eventually realising that he was in over his head with his game plan (especially since it led him to be a pre-merge boot), and how bitter and antagonistic he ended up being as a result. Maybe he'll realise how out-of-character it felt and how wrong he was to act the way he did. Who knows, that might start in Rescue Island with say, Anastasia (or any other Favorite early boot that will attend Rescue Island) telling him that Alec had the advantage the whole time leading to Aiden realising that Evie never had it once. Hell, maybe this whole arc could act as a learning experience for him in order to better himself.

Whether it's in Rescue Island, the catch-up at the motel before the finale, or his second chance if he does win his place back in the competition, I hope he gets this humility moment before the season ends so he can go back to the Aiden that could actually be considered a Favorite.

Every Disventure Camp season has the VR challenge (although DC2's wasn't really VR but still, the contestants "died" in it so I'm putting in the same vein). So far, we've had zombies, slasher, superheroes and Dungeons & Dragons.

What VR challenge do you want to see for FvF?

According to Brandon Belcher (Aiden's VA), he did record himself shouting out the patrons as Aiden but they just never used it for some reason. Has ONC said anything about why they just ended the episode without it?

Some people have theorisied that it's because they're planning to bring Aiden back after Rescue Island, but Amelie and Marissa both did the read in DC4 when they were first eliminated so that doesn't add up. And it's not even like they had another character do the Patreon read here instead like in James and Ellie's case in All-Stars; there just wasn't a Patreon read here at all. So if ONC haven't addressed this yet, what's going on here?
