I haven't posted here before so I hope this is okay and isn't repetitive.

I am looking for my first job and have applied at my local Goodwill. On the job application, it states that due to company policy, you must be at least 16 years of age or older. I am not 16 yet, so I selected the option that I am not yet 16, figuring that I would be automatically discarded from consideration.

However, just today I received a text message from the store manager at the Goodwill I applied to, saying that they were reaching out to schedule an interview. I'm not sure if I should try to schedule an interview. Maybe they didn't see that I'm not yet 16? I also am not sure which company policy requires employees to be at least 16. For reference, in my state you can start working before 16.
