So about merc mode.
In fact, I think this is a part of the game where remakes are much better than the original.
Gameplay of OG is a good as Horror game but bad in action (we talk about original games, not mods like WS), because of this, the entire gameplay of the original merc mode literally consisted of shooting in one place as if in a shooting range, running away a couple of meters from enemies and shooting again.
The remake's gameplay is built around movement; the game constantly forces you to always move to avoid being pinned down by enemies. (well except Hunk his gameplay still the same).
The only problem is that the mode is too easy, you will never have problems with bosses because of mayhem mode, and the ammo drop is too frequent.
