For context,i managed to get my first laptop(used,of course) last christmas,and as soon as i got it i installed mint on it,and honestly,i have never really regreted it. In my opinion mint is a fantastic example of linux, it only occupies 1.5/2gb of ram on idle,you have all the linux plus(open source,root access/sudo authorization) and the debian family plus (stability and reliability),but i also liked the built in tools like the integrated tool to flash usbs or the system setting feautres,so overall i'm all in love with mint (except the app store,never really used it).

The problem now is....i'm looking on a desktop pc and i'm deciding if i should do a bit of distro hopping or not,couse i've never really tried something different,and i've heard of the AUR attack and the difficulty of installing arch,but i also dont really consider steam os in the near future couse why would i need an os centered on gaming if its not my priority with this pc (also i hate the steam helper for taking up 1gb of ram,and i had 16 on my laptop)

So i'm wondering whether or not i should try something still in the debian family or is there something else you could recommend?

so,to put it plainly, last year i've got closer and closer to coding,i made some small tools and recreated old,and i mean very old terminal games and such,i've then got myself into gamedev and godot,opening my borders and learning a bit about languages different from c and i must say i enjoyed it;

that's not the point though,the point is i wanted to get back to something that's not just game making,also to prepare for university, so i wanted to ask what frameworks do people use,what's your language of choice and what do you primarely work on (app developement for example).

I bought my first pair of iems (7hz zero 2) and i'm just now discovering that idk when an equilizer was added to metrolist that has different profiles for different earphones and headphones and i thought to myself "wait wasn't there another equilizer(the system equilizer) and i remembered i just pumped everything up in there except surround and bass boost that were maybe half way through.

So i came here to ask,what profile do you use or how does your system equilizer look,i'm also open to suggestions

ora,il problema è che non so se effettivamente sia stata mandata una richiesta per farmi mandare il pin,e non voglio sprecare 20 giorni circa per scoprire che in realtà non è stata mandata;

questo dubbio più che altro è dato dal fatto che dopo aver compilato il modulo di richiesta online e aver premuto "continua" l'unica cosa che succede è che la paggina si aggiorna ed esce captcha errato o una cosa simile,nonostante il captcha sia chiaramente corretto (no,non sono un bot).

non posso neanche chiedere ad amici perchè a loro non importava della carta:(

Ho aggiornato Metrolist due giorni fa, ho fatto un backup delle mie playlist per sicurezza e ho eseguito l'aggiornamento... poi ho provato ad accedere con il mio account YouTube solo per curiosità (volevo vedere se le canzoni venivano trasferite su YouTube o se sarebbero scomparse, mi sono detto che anche se fosse successo qualcosa di brutto avrei avuto il backup).

Da stupido ho lasciato che YouTube sovrascrivesse le mie playlist, ma va tutto bene perché avevo il backup;

NO, NON L'HO FATTO, avevo scaricato tutte le mie canzoni, quindi non mi ero reso conto di essere anch'io vittima di quel bug che svuota le playlist, e il mio backup era esattamente di 0 byte, il che significa: SEI FREGATO!

Cosa dovrei fare?

Update,also i tried the previous version with a couple of backups but it says database version incompatibile

I'm not saying i found a bug couse i know it works but i must be clumsy enough to not realize why sometimes i get automatically kicked from the room even if i'm the host

during the past couple of months i've found myself getting intrested more and more about home servers, but i haven't done much so far:

i primarly got into it becouse there was an m710q lying around at home just collecting dust,and i wanted to repurpose it,meaning i put it on a shelf and started configuring things like proxmox but i also scavanged a little more and found 2 hdds each 500gb in storage.

my idea now was to buy a couple of things now to make it an usable server and expanding on clusters later;

so far i've just bought an additional 16gb of ram to add to the already installed one (4gb) which i know is not a good idea when it comes to dual channel but i need down to the last byte of ram if i want it to be a proper server;

i then wanted to buy an external dock for the 2 hdd that are unfortunately 3.5" else my life would have been much easier,after that i also wanted to order a wifi repeater with ethernet port( the tp-link mercusys ME30 mesh wifi repeater to be specfic) which to be honest idk if it's compatible with my fastweb modem and lastly,maybe in a couple of months a 2.5" ssd and an i7 7700t to upgrade the ever so slow i3 m710q and then when i'll see i need even more power i'll consider buying another mini pc to cluster

ps. i dont keep the server running 24/7
