SAB-8275 video circuit advice
I’m looking to build a simple system to display text received from an external source, whether it’s serial or 8 bit parallel onto a TTL input monochrome crt. The circuit came from a board with an SAB-8275 chip and a 27c64 eprom for character generation with the outputs hooked to a PISO shift register. I have a basic idea of how the 8275 works but my main questions are: how would I go about building sync and dot timing circuitry for the rest of the character generator, and if it would be easier to have it driven by a microcontroller like an esp8266, an arduino mega, or a z80 which I have a couple of. I’ve attached a picture of the board I pulled the 8275 off of if it helps
In for a fun time
Well, after getting the “fuck you we’re not hiring you but please do apply again so we can delete your application” I finished orientation and got my name into the system. Ended up in a fairly good fred meyers with decent leadership as a courtesy clerk but who knows what awaits me. Still need to do the click through corporate training videos part of orientation on day 2
Hired.
Did an interview for front end courtesy clerk last week. Couple days later got the very unique “At this time we are no longer considering your application for this posting.” and went on with job search. Earlier today the ASL emailed me saying they’re offering me a job and to swing by to do the paperwork. Pretty confusing but aside from staring at hr training videos for orientation and the other hell that awaits me what should I expect from the hiring process
Age requirements
With the change in corporate leadership and rules and all that did the minimum age get changed to 18? I used to see courtesy clerk/bagger and barista positions for fred meyer that asked if you were at least 16 in the application. Now that I’m trying to apply the only positions I’ve seen are courtesy clerk but the application asks if you’re 18 or older now along with deli clerk and other front end which auto reject you if you’re under 18. Curious if it’s related to all the new stuff going on but it’s been tough trying to find a job while I’m in school.
