Who has put some miles on the Hyperboost Edge?

These seemed to be pretty polarising in the weeks following release. Lots of people had issues with the heel counter. The midsole seemed to be well-received.

I was wondering if anyone has any feedback after putting a few miles in them? Have your heels survived? Is the foam holding up? Did they cook your feet in the Northern summer?

Why do people carry their phone in their hand during a run?

Can anyone who does this explain why? How is it not annoying? Why not buy a armband or pouch to hold it so your hands are free?

Endorphin Elite 2: not as scary as I thought

I knew these had a reputation as a quite an unruly ride, but so far so good. Marshmallow-soft, pretty smooth rocker, certainly not the most stable but not unmanageable. Only done a few flat/straight miles, so unsure if it'll be quite as straightforward when I have to turn a corner. I'm a midfoot striker but at the back end of a marathon I suspect I'll be closer to the heel. I went for my usual size (US10.5) and have not had any issues with the fit around the little toe. It's more spacious than the Speed 4 (which is super narrow in the forefoot), and roughly the same so far as my Pro 4 and Speed 5.

From a well-respected bricks-and-mortar NZ store. Not gonna name which one, cos I am unsure the employee was allowed to sell it for this price and none of the other locations in the city would match it. Also got the last pair! NZD$150 = USD$86.89

Time to work on my ankle strength...

Upgraded my office set-up from Breville to a second-hand Silvia. I think it's a V3. I did a full tear-down, clean and replaced a few parts (gaskets, shower screen etc).

A friend of mine has the V6 in Jade Green, which is obviously a very sexy machine. We're both big fans of 50s/60s custom-colour Fender guitars. So while my machine was being disassembled, I found a local powder-coating shop and got a couple of panels sprayed in something close to Shell Pink. The colour is called Pink Sand from the Dulux Powdercoat range.

Excuse the terrible furniture and decor of the room. Regional public hospitals in NZ are not fancy places.
