this is the most hypocritical bull shirt i’ve even read😑

i somehow found myself randomly on the mcdonald’s website today (which Is not very pleasant mind you), cause i was trying to find just something noted on there abt nutritional info.
anyway, came across their blog page for “our planet” and was oiterallly WOPALED reading it.

they make statements(these are word for word) such as:

“From minimising plastic in our packaging to driving climate action, investing in renewable energy, and partnering to advance sustainable agricultural practices”

“we approach beef sustainability holistically and consider our impact on the planet, the livelihoods of the people who produce our food, the communities in which they live and the well-being of the animals we rely on.” (and then they cut off that post very shortly to start discussing plastic waste instead.

like bro you’re literally a fast food chain and not just that, one that is well known for not selling or supplying a SINGLE vegan or even vegetarian friendly option.

so how tf can you claim to care about “the planet” and the “climate crisis” and “greenhouse gas emissions” when they’re literally one of the NUMBER ONE DRIVERS OF IT!!?!!!

sorry just made me so mad fr oml😑

what’s a nice biscuit/cookie i can bake for mother’s day?

ANSWERS CLOSED: cookies have been made ;)
thank u for all the suggestions!

i went with some spiced orange cookies - i’ll let you know how they turn out after they’ve chilled and baked!

(i’ll leave this post here though if others need inspo<3)

i’d like to bake my mum a batch of sweet cookies/biscuits for mother’s day but i’m not sure what kind…?

i’m thinking something with either like a sugar, rose, pistachio, cranberry, lemon, shortbread or spiced vibe. (not all of them just like one of those hahah!)

any suggestions or inspo?? i’m open to anything :)
💓🌷

i should also probably note that i just moved into a new shared house so i don’t actually have a lot of ingredients. only very basic things so i can’t do like anything fancy. i’ve got some spices, lemons, oranges, white sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and soda and just some other basics but no nuts, brown sugar, dried fruits or anything :/
