Low-40s mpg for 2011 Prius OK?

I bought a 2011 Prius in January to replace my 2010 Corolla, which was totaled in a side-swiping incident (not my fault). Turned out alright, since the other party's insurance offered me way more to buy my car than I'd ever be able to get for it if I sold it or traded it in. I always wanted a Prius, so that worked out well.

Anyway, I've been keeping track of my mileage since getting that car almost four months ago, and I've been mostly getting in the low-40s miles per gallon, sometimes mid-40s. It's mostly relatively short city driving with a good amount of hills (Seattle). Although this is way better than the mid-20s I was getting with my 2010 Corolla, it's a bit lower than I had hoped (and anticipated).

Does this mileage sound reasonable for my situation? The car has been driving great, and I'm not seeing any indication that the battery is seeing excessive degradation.

Lifetime Pro plan purchased in 2016 still going strong!

I bought a lifetime Pro plan for $37.50 back in 2016, when Windscribe just got started. It's still going strong. It had an expiration date in 2026, but that was as expected. It recently auto-renewed till 2036. On to the next ten years!
Just wanted to give a shoutout to Windscribe for honoring this lifetime plan. You guys rock!

What to keep: Dell XPS or Surface Laptop?

I have two Windows laptops that I bought used on OfferUp for a pretty decent price ($400 each): a Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 and a Surface Laptop 7 with Intel. I want to keep one of them as a secondary laptop to my MacBook Pro, which is my daily driver.

Which one should I keep? I should easily be able to sell either of these laptop for at least what I paid for it (and possibly some more), so I won’t lose any money on them. I like both laptops. I’ve had older models of both before, so I’m very familiar with both Dell XPS and Surface devices.

Both laptops are pretty similar in terms of specs and performance. The Dell XPS has a 4K OLED display, which is really nice, but I’ve always liked the 3:2 form factor of Surface laptops. Even though the capacitive touch function row on the Dell XPS bother me much less than I anticipated, I do prefer physical function keys. I also really appreciate the 120Hz screen on the Surface Laptop. The Surface Laptop has less storage, but I have a 1 TB SSD lying around that I can put in there.

Dell XPS 13 Plus (9320):

  • Intel Core i7-1360P
  • 13-inch 4K OLED touchscreen (3456 x 2160 px), 60 Hz
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 1 TB SSD

Surface Laptop 7 with Intel:

  • Intel Core Ultra 5 (Series 2) 238V
  • 13.8-inch 2.5K PixelSense touchscreen (2304 x 1536 px), 120 Hz
  • 32 GB RAM
  • 512 GB SSD

So which one to keep and which one to sell, that's the question...
