My first Swiss watch: DS-2 Lady

After wearing Apple Watches for 6 years, l started looking for a traditional watch with elegance for everyday wearing and sturdiness for sea baths twice a week. I would love to have an automatic, but I rely on strong magnet (MagSafe accessories) so much, it is safer to use a quartz watch. This beauty caught my eyes and etched into my memory for weeks, and I finally took the leap a few days ago. Love it a lot!

It is a tiny watch with delicate details: black mother-of-pearl dial, diamond markers, and steel link with a jewelry-like finish. As with every Certina watch, the water resistance is verified with ISO standards. my heart leaps every time I check the time and date on my wrist. So much value for its price.

First iced coffee of the year

Conclusion first - the coffee was great. Coffee beans with advanced treatment are so good with ice! Coldness brings out the fruity flavor and sweetness.

So the temperature skyrocketed recently and I suddenly crave for iced coffee. I’m very used to making them with pour-over gears and Aeropress, but I had to dial in a moka recipe. I started with 20g beans and 200ml water in my 6-cup pot, and pre-cool my mug with 100g ice cubes and cold water. However, the coffee liquid was less than I expected, so I added a little more cold water to reach the flavor I want.

The thing is I don’t know why there was so little coffee. When I make hot coffee, I put 300ml water with 25g coffee and I get around 210ml of coffee (i. e. The absorption and residual water is around 90ml) but today when I put 200ml water I only got 90ml coffee? Shouldn’t it be like, 110ml?? It’s not a bad thing, just enigmatic.
