Certina DS Action Titanium

Finally convinced myself to buy this beauty 😍

The smaller size is really comfortable compared to my other watches (usually i wear 40-42mm)

What size?

Has anybody done the virtual try on and seen if it is true to size? 7.5” wrist

My first Swiss watch: DS-2 Lady

After wearing Apple Watches for 6 years, l started looking for a traditional watch with elegance for everyday wearing and sturdiness for sea baths twice a week. I would love to have an automatic, but I rely on strong magnet (MagSafe accessories) so much, it is safer to use a quartz watch. This beauty caught my eyes and etched into my memory for weeks, and I finally took the leap a few days ago. Love it a lot!

It is a tiny watch with delicate details: black mother-of-pearl dial, diamond markers, and steel link with a jewelry-like finish. As with every Certina watch, the water resistance is verified with ISO standards. my heart leaps every time I check the time and date on my wrist. So much value for its price.

Is this worth saving?

Got this Certina from my granddad. It’s scratched and worn, but I really like the style of the watch!
I’ve tried to look it up, but couldn’t find the reference number or name of the model. I think he bought it in the late 70s or early 80s. Any idea what kind of Certina it is?
I’ve changed the battery, but the watch stops after just a couple of weeks.
Do you think a service is needed, and more importantly, is it worth it on a old quartz watch?

Seeking expert advice

I came across this watch with a tag price of $180. Do you think it’s worth negotiating, and what would be a reasonable price to offer? I checked the Certina and the signed case back, and both appear to be original, keeps the time. However, the crown is not signed.

Does the DS Action 38mm feel bigger than a 38mm?

Tired of asking for them to release a 40.5mm in standard black and white. I have 7 inch wrist and would like to get an idea on how the 38mm wears. Graduating in a few months and have decided on a DS action as a gift to myself.

[Certina] Exploring Donegal with my Black DS Action Diver 38mm

It’s been 9 months since I purchased this piece, at first I was not fully convinced since the black nato strap it came with wore out and I couldn’t find a perfect fit. Fast forward a few months and I found the perfect NATO for me; that is, perfect fit with good materials and quite affordable so I can replace it when needed. Anyway, I personally think this watch should be sold with a strap this color.

The legibility on this piece is fantastic and the bezel feels very tight and toolish, so this is the time piece I choose for hikes or exploring new places. What do you guys think? Did you know about this model?
