[DS Action Diver 38mm] on a tropical strap

Seen very few pics of the watch with any strap, so thought I could share. Tropical black 19mm rubber strap from Aliexpress looks and feels extremely premium and comfortable, quite amazed for lik 15€ total. Gives the watch a bit more of a retro original divers vibes.

Anyone knows some aftermarket bracelet options?

Certina DS Action Diver 38mm 2026

Just got new Certina DS Action Diver 38mm and was so excited that I had to share the photo!

New version for 2026 has ceramic bezel which makes it look much more expensive and shiny than it is, while still retaining retro classic look, and I was sold on size, 38mm with 45mm lugs was perfect for my 16cm wrist (slightly over 6"). Also while I'm not a professional diver, it's just cool that you know that watch has that ISO certification and 300m water resistance.

Even tho it's not really thin at 13.2mm (not thick either for a dive watch), bezel has that slope so it looks thinner than it is.

The only extremely small gripe I have is that lugs could've been slightly more curved, although at 45mm it's great even on my narrow wrist. And also I'd prefer if there were drilled holes in the lugs for easier replacement of strap, but original bracelet does have that quick removal of those pins.

Anyways, I can't believe what I got for 800 eur, seems like a bargain looking at all the specs and at this size.

Killed Dread on Hardcore Ascendant

Someone posted recently screenshot that you need more than 3000 DA for Dread not to crit you. We basically have same DA exactly (2700 something) and Dread had 6% crit chance against them, and 0% against me. How come? Does anyone know if on Hardcore difficulty is down somehow? It's Ascendant mode... Here is that original post:

100mm vs 110mm for XC hardtail

Planning to buy a new fork for my Scott Scale 2022 model. It came with 100mm fork out of the factory and I will upgrade it, but I am torn between 100 and 110mm versions of Rockshox SID SL Select.

I understand that the handlebars would raise marginally (~7mm), head angle would slacken by ~0.5° (so still not as slack as newer Scale model of 100mm), I'd have to reposition angle of the seat by half degree and reach would become couple milimeter shorter.

This in theory sounds good to me, I'd release some stress from the wrists, gain marginally slacker bike, and well gain 10mm travel for those rare occasions its needed.

Differences seem very mild on paper, but how different would it actually feel in real life?

Anyone switched from 100 to 110mm on their hardtails? What did it feel like, did you even notice anything?

Any insights and experiences are welcome, thanks!

Rockshox SID SL Select questions, help needed

Due to high service cost of Fox 32 Rhythm, I decided to sell it and buy a new fork, given I don't want to service it myself. Settled for Rockshox SID SL Select that I found for 500€ new.

I see the option to go for 110mm instead of 100mm, does that mean my handlebars would be a bit higher? Is the difference just in those tokens? Can I adjust it to 100mm if I wanted?

I see that remote lockout is bought separately for the fork. Can I still lock it by rotating that top lever by hand or am I locked to being fully open unless I buy the remote lockout?

Given I don't mind not having remote lockout at all, would you suggest I go with 2 position lockout rather than 3 pos? Is the difference only in that topcap part and nothing else?

Also, if anyone used both Fox 32 (with GRIP, so it can be performance or rhythm in last couple of years) and Rockshox SID - what is your experience, which did you like more? Please only if you tried both, cos bias is high, I'm trying to find objective comparison so I can decide if I should spent 180 eur more for new Fox. Thanks!

Portable music player (FiiO X3 1st gen) battery replacement help

Hello!

I have Fiio X3 1st gen portable audio player, and after 10 years of daily usage, battery finally started to show signs of degradation, it doesn't last very long, and battery indicator doesn't show the real situation anymore.

Can you guys please help me with what battery can I order, what is safe, high quality, is it really hard to change? Will new battery sync with indicator correctly to show the real capacity percentage? Where do I even order such battery from?

I'd really appreciate any help! Thanks!

Razer Kishi V3 arrived!

Razer Kishi V3 arrived!

Luckily isn't wireless - whoever came up with genius idea to make BT controllers like these... Ofc it must have USB-C, I don't want to charge additional device, have BT turned on, add 50-100g+ weight to it, add more stuff to device that can fail, and not have power passthrough.

Works like a charm, out of the box, no additional software needed, and it was discounted so I paid 9000 RSD (75 eur / 80$ in my currency). Feel of buttons is great while they are completely silent.

I wouldn't mind if it was slightly larger (longer handles like on Xbox, so maybe that Gamesir G8 or something would be slightly better ergonomically, but I'm guessing since I only saw images of Gamesir), but it's still comfortable and great.

Tested it with Dead Cells and Titan Quest, and it really improves experience by very far. I'll also try today Forza Horizon 6 with Artemis/Apollo (basically Sunshine/Moonlight) and see how it goes, but just wanted to share 1st impressions!

Any way to change item tile/background color?

I'd like to somehow change the background color (not just item name) of items. Basically I'd like double rare items to be orange instead of green (to resemble WoW's legendary items).

I've seen someone made a post about it in the past, but they didn't explain anything and now the user is deleted, it might've been some "joke":

https://www.reddit.com/r/Grimdawn/comments/1s7kwcc/it_actually_is_possible_to_change_the_item/

And they uploaded these images:

https://imgur.com/a/grim-dawn-custom-gear-background-tile-color-5hsBvQG

So there is no explanation how they did it, nor I know if it's real, but is there any way to do this? Change some game files somehow, or is there some mod for this?

I'd really appreciate it, I really think double rare MIs deserve their own color, they are so often best in slot items by far, it feels bad when I see them green...

I made an immortal build

I made an immortal build

Grim Tools link: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/ZrGlrJkN

Basically you have virtually constant Blade Barrier + Mirror of Ereoctes uptime.

Note that it's important to level up fully Time Dilation devotion, and that is very preferable you roll 5% on CD reduction on neck and 6% on head. Also Gildam Arcanum affixes are a must, prefixes you can swap on those items.

Even if you miss by a second CD (from Barrier -> Mirror it's possible), you still have very good defense, dmg reduction, overcapped perfectly all resistances, and no double rares in build either, so it even has headroom to be a bit better when rerolls come with FoA.

Also due to 4000 OA you basically proc Carnage all the time, so it's very important to focus on OA.

Some choices might look weird, such as Alkamos' Rings, but it's the only thing that gives Blade Barrier skill (which reduce CD) and also gives additional 12 skill points you use and focuses on OA and speed (so you have perfect cap of 200% to hit as fast as possible for as fast procs as possible for Carnage & Dilation - although Dilation helps only Mirror -> Barrier).

Dps is a a bit lower naturally, and barrier slows you down significantly, but surprisingly decent for SR30-31 farming and well - you are literally immortal.

EDIT: For some reason in Grim Tools it doesn't seem to calculate correctly CDs, in game it's 12.2 (3 sec duration) for Blade Barrier and it's 17 sec for Mirror (6.5 sec duration), but again, that's without Arcanum, Carnage (1 sec per ~5 sec) and Time Dilation (applicable only to Blade Barrier, but huge).

Any way to change OS?

EDIT: No. I haven't chosen a phone that is pure copy of iOS. Magic OS 9 was not that bad whatsoever, only since Magic OS 10 (and even at 10 they made it worse with last update with battery indicator and all) god forbid what we saw for upcoming Magic OS 11.

Title.

If I wanted iOS, I would have bought an iPhone. If anything iPhone 16 PM was even cheaper than Magic7 Pro when I bought it at launch date.

I intentionally bought Android phone because I don't want an iOS.

Is there any way to force root this thing, flash some custom ROM? I know that Honor has locked bootloader, but is there any workaround this? Are we doomed to keep using MagicOS as long as we have the phone? Hardware is fantastic, but OS is getting buggier (tf is happening with Google Play?) and closer looking to iOS with each update, which is a no from me, yet I don't wanna buy another phone this soon... Thanks!

Acid Whirlwind destroyer HC viable build

Here is my Acid Sentinel focusing on Eye of Reckoning. It's a HC char and clears everything with ease (not planning to attempt Crate on HC tho), including consistently fast SR30-31 farm.

It's my 1st Eye of Reckoning build. Wanted to make Eldritch Halberd RF build with Shattered set, but after experimenting with this I was absolutely astounded by how good it turned out to be.

It clears bosses like a single target DPS build (Eye of Reckoning DPS is 523k), with 3377 OA without Ascension (3857 with it), and insane Acid/Poison RR -128% total.

It's an a pain to farm tho, two Ring of Shuroth took 100+ runs...

Alternatives if you don't have Shuroths would be either lucky rolls of Viloth's Rings, or even consider craftable Mythical Widow's Sting, for HC you can roll 4% armor, for SC I'd go 3% crit dmg. In case of Stings, you might even consider Possession, although Shuroth/Path of the Three wins.

Sub 50$ recommendations needed

Hello, I am looking for sub 50$ chifi iem and would appreciate if you could recommend me some options.

Some stuff I know I like (sorry for bad terminology):

  • full bodied mids (not just upper mids, but also lower), notes that have weight
  • non-fatiguing sound I can listen to for 2h+ sessions at loud volume (during cycling, in crowded office, gym, etc)
  • detailed (but not sharp/piercing) highs
  • deep sub bass extension, not necessarily extremely loud boomy bass, but to extend deep, I'd say I'm sort of basshead but not extreme one

Some stuff I know I don't like:

  • piercing, sibilant, harsh, fatiguing highs (I tried some KZ ZSN 10 Pro or something, some TRN V10 and some more - and they had very detailed but very unnatural, "metallic" piercing highs, I couldn't stand them for more than 2-3 songs at the time
  • thin mids - most IEMs I've heard had thin recessed mids, vocals were not deep, didn't have weight to them at all, drums too, it's either bass or than thin high pitched hit. For example if Blon BL03 had a bit thicker more present mids, especially lower mids, they'd be near perfect for me
  • that midbass veil/boominess, like someone put speaker in the barrel, idk how to explain. It's still low on the list of what I don't like, I'd rather have that midbass veil than piercing highs, but if it's possible to avoid it all the better

Could you recommend me couple of models?

I have ordered Kiwi Ears Cadenza and 7Hz x Crinacle Zero 2 to test, but I'd order 2-3 more to check them out. Doing this so I can distinguish clearly what I actually like in sound, and to have some sort of baseline that I can use as reference when searching for more expensive earphones. As of now I don't feel like risking blindly for couple of hundreds of dollars, but maybe once I find cheap iems I like, I could ask for "recommend me this but with more bass".

Thanks!
