I’ve got back into music in a huge way, and was incredibly excited at the prospect of the DM15. I received it today and within 20 minutes of using it, I realised tracks were consistently skipping.

To begin with I thought “eh, maybe it’s a bad disc” so I switched it out for a brand new CD. It still skips!

I remember buying a budget discman type thing in 08 for about £30 that didn’t skip once!

To add to this, I find it really, really disingenuous of all these paid off YouTubers singing praises for the device, but when you go into the community, it’s clear the problem is affecting most people.

I also don’t care how good it sounds (incredible btw) if it can’t do the main thing it exists to do. It fails to be something that will play CDs. I don’t think this is at all a defensible product.

Lastly: I was and was intending to use this device flat on a desk. There were no vibrations, no shocks and bumps.

Recently I saw that Fiio is releasing the DP11 CD player but I can't find anywhere when it will be released. Some say that it's late September early October, but we're in October and no retailers seem to have it available or even for pre-order.

Anyone knows anything else about this, that I haven't been able to find?

I’ve been using the Sennheiser HD560s paired with a Rodecaster Duo for quite a while now. I’m finally ready to take a real step up in audio quality and just enjoy the experience. My primary use case is general PC use (music, media, and gaming).

Years ago, I owned a Sennheiser HD 700. Its spatial imaging and directional audio in games were so incredible that people often accused me of wallhacking. That’s the kind of soundstage and precision performance I’m chasing again.

Right now, I’m leaning towards the HiFiMAN Arya Organic as my next headphone, though my ultimate dream endgame is still the Sennheiser HD 800S.

While headphone recommendations are always welcome, my immediate goal is to choose the right DAC/Amp setup. I'm currently torn between these three options:

• FiiO K13 R2R
• FiiO K17
• FiiO K17 R2R

Given my current setup and future upgrade path (Arya Organic / HD 800S), which of these units would you recommend for my use case, and why? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences and insights!
