met Dustin Bates at Aftershock

On the first day of Aftershock it was sometime early afternoon and me n my friends decided to walk around the Epicenter area because the bands we wanted to see weren't gonna play 'till later, then as we were walking I saw Dustin in the crowd. I recognized him so fast and before my friends could see him i BOOKED IT to go say hi 'cause he was walkin away. I was so goddamn nervous my hands got all clammy and i could barely speak coherently but we got a photo together. He was super nice!!! I said I liked the new hair and he gave me a hug and a fistbump after our photo. I felt like those dramatic scenes in cartoons where they pass out from shock or something 'cause that whole interaction made me lightheaded afterwards. Never in my life did I think I would be able to see one of if not my favorite singers ever just walkin around in the crowd.

Later that night I of course went to see Starset play and they were AWESOME!!! This was my second time seeing them live and oh my god it was an even better performance than the last time. Dustin announced towards the end of their set that they'd be having a tour soon as the headliners so I'm stoked for that to come out. One of these days I'd really like to meet the rest of the band and get a shirt or piece of merch signed by all of them.

stretching through cartilage

About two months ago I started stretching my septum and I have stretched it twice already. Assuming I was pierced with a 16g I assume I'm at a 12g or 10g currently. It's been about three weeks since my last stretch. My nose has felt fine within the last week and a half (no soreness or aches) so this morning I decided to try going up the next gauge. I couldn't get it in halfway till it really began to sting a little too much for comfort so I went back to my previous taper. My skin didn't feel like it was tearing, so I think I've begun to hit cartilage and wondering if anyone might have tips on how to continue to stretch safely and possibly anything that might help make it easier the bigger the gauge I go (goal is 8g).
