Do you think you are capable of providing consultation in your field?
Not just doing the work. I mean someone brings you a messy real-world problem and you can break it down, spot the issue, explain the risks, and give useful direction without repeating generic advice.
A lot of people have experience but can’t really advise others once things stop being straightforward.
What do you think separates someone experienced from someone actually capable of consulting?
I'm mainly asking because I'm noticing a trend on social media of people who are 24 or less with minimal experience in both life and work/ businesses and they offer consultations for the public.
