How I shot like Spielberg on an indie budget.

Hey guys, I've been making a living as a Director for a little over 20 years now. Indie features, commercials, branded content, and everything in between. I just put together my first video essay breaking down how I shot my latest indie feature for under $1MM using specific Spielberg techniques. Getting that big-budget look on an indie budget.

My latest film was released in theaters last year. In this video, I break down 4 scenes from the film and the Spielberg techniques used in each of them. This is my first time making one of these video essays, so if people respond well I'll make more. Hope you guys get something good out of it!

EXILE // a Sci-fi short film (on YouTube)

Mods feel free to take down if this doesn't fit the rules, but this is a VFX short film I made with friends starring Jon Huertas from the shows "THIS IS US" and CASTLE. I made this as a proof of concept for a feature film set in a bigger world I developed. Took us 1 year to make this because of all the VFX intensive work - got in a bit over our heads! EXILE // a grounded Sci-Fi short on YouTube

Took me almost a year to make this short film due to all the VFX work. This was a proof of concept piece that I wrote, directed, and paid for out of personal savings. it was a passion project. it originally premiered on Dust channel.
