Input needed on my first test drive of the Passport RTL and Elite...

Hi, I have just test driven a 26 Passport RTL and Elite for the first time today. My history is I have driven a 2013 Honda CRV since 2012 and before that an Accord. I have always admired the Passport from just looking at it style and size wise, but had never driven one. I really imagined myself in a Passport at some point in the future.

I am currently in need of a vehicle as the CRV is having more problems than I can keep up with lately and am driving a rental this week. I truly think it is time to purchase a new vehicle and don't want to repair more at this point.

I have researched over and over and thought the Passport was going to be MY vehicle. I have read the posts on Reddit with interest and admired the pictures of the new vehicles posted and watched numerous Youtube video reviews. Yet, when I test drove the RTL and Elite today it just did not feel like anything I am used to really. It lurched while taking off on the road which seemed like a transmission that was not smooth, was really wide and felt somewhat bouncy like a truck. Is this common for larger SUV's? Has anyone felt this way on their initial test drive of the Passport? Maybe it is just what I am used to driving previously.

I don't know if I should give it a second try or just accept that maybe it is not for me. I would welcome your thoughts and input.

Thoughts on what could be doing on with a newly replaced starter on 2013 CRV...

I could really use some input on what is going on with my 2013 Honda CRV and a cranking issue. This has been going on for a month after replacement with a refurbished starter.

The car was not starting off and on a couple of months ago in April. It finally stalled out in late April and was towed in. I was told it was the starter since the battery had been replaced in the last year. They replaced the starter and changed me $740.00 for a refurbished part and labor and gave me a one year warranty. It drove okay for two days, but by the third day it struggled to start again. The car grinds while trying to start and the dash lights up. I would come to find out it would happen over and over. It finally cranks after a long struggle. It does not always do it so there is no pattern really. I let the repair guy know and he told me turn it back in "asap". Not sure why now...

Unfortunately, I could not turn the car back in as I had surgery in late April and went through a recovery period. I turned it in this week and the repair person did not repair it. He said he "could not get the car to do it and it needs to be doing the problem for me to repair it". Really? Is that true? I told him I had already sent him a video of the problem while it was not cranking. He said it could be a million different things and if he replaced the starter and "it ain't the problem that someone is going to owe me money". He spoke very rudely. I told him to not replace it as I seriously don't think he knows what he is doing and I don't want to pay him more money. I am going to pick the car up even though it is not repaired.

Do you have any idea of what I could be dealing with regarding the CRV failing to crank off and on? Should I take it by an Autozone and have them to a check the battery, starter, etc. Is it possible I can dispute the charge on my credit card? I could really use some advice. Thank you.
