Is Dean Faiello (the killer of Maria Cruz) pretending to be dead?

The most recent Casefile Extra episode "Maria Cruz" reveals that Maria's death was caused by a fake doctor named Dean Faiello.

If you visit the Wikipedia page for Dean Faiello, it says he died in a car crash in 2024. But I couldn't find any reliable source for that claim. The source for the claim in the Wikipedia article is a dead page (and one that wasn't archived on the Internet Archive). I did some Google searching and could not find any other reliable article or source about a supposed car crash. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dean_Faiello

There is a purported "Find a Grave" entry for Faiello, but Find a Grave is not a primary source, as it is also a user-generated resource. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/263600172/dean_anthony-faiello/flower

It strikes me that as a serial fabulist with a criminal record, Dean Faiello would love for people to think he is dead. Then they won't be asking questions like, what is Dean Faiello doing now?

Sam Neill, pencil drawing

My wife was working on a drawing this afternoon, thought I'd share with the sub.

RIP Sam.

You know who can make a defence-splitting pass and leap over an advertising hoarding without breaking his wrist? Morgan Gibbs-White, that's who.

Angus Gunn (mild) appreciation post

Going into the tournament there was good reason to be worried about Scotland's keepers. Would Clarke play a 43 year old, or would he play a keeper who was third choice at his club last season?

It's been absolutely dire but you can't really blame Gunn for any of the goals (perhaps you can make a case that his positioning wasn't good for Brazil's second). He made some decent stops - could have been 5-0.

For someone that had a truly demoralising year at Nottingham Forest (he played only one cup game all season and the club signed Stefan Ortega just to have a number 2 ahead of him) he has done what was asked of him.

Nice day for a hike in Aldhani (Scotland)

Didn't see any storm troopers. Though some of the upland sheep did give us suspicious looks.

Sels missing out on the World Cup

Tough break, though I guess it was always unlikely he'd get any game time.

I imagine the thinking of picking Penders over Sels is that the top two are so good (which would be true if it had been Courtois & Sels or Courtois & Lammens) that it is fine to take a young keeper as third-choice for his development.
