I'm autistic university faculty and a firm believer (like I'm sure many of you) that knowledge should be a public good, not a luxury.
With this in mind, I wanted to point this sub to two excellent (trustworthy) resources for accessing books (including expensive textbooks) and peer-reviewed journal articles for free:
- SciHub http://sci-hub.su/ - the "Robin Hood" of science for bypassing academic journal paywalls using DOIs) and
- Anna's Archive https://annas-archive.gl/ - the ultimate shadow library for finding free books, textbooks, and comics
