Trying to decide how to progress in my career.

Hows it going yall, I am looking for some advice on how to move forward in my career.

Currently, I am part of an in-house design team for a major North American GovTech company and have been here for almost 4 years. My current salary is $56,000 which is a lot lower than what I think I should be paid but I am also in Indiana so I can semi understand.

I find myself feeling stuck in the midwest, and in this job specifically. Like I dont make enough to be able to move somewhere where i could make more or generally progress. And I think what is worse is that anyone I talk to irl about this is telling me I should feel lucky I even have a job in the field I got my degree in, especially in the current job market.

I dunno I am just ranting atp, I would love any advice. Thank you in advance friends!
