The Ready Set band from Fort Wayne

The Ready Set is an electropop and synth-pop project created by Fort Wayne native Jordan Mark Witzigreuter (born November 14, 1989). Although Witzigreuter writes, records, and produces almost all of the music independently, he uses a rotating backup band for live tours.

  • Hometown Roots: Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Witzigreuter graduated from Homestead High School. He began his music career locally, uploading songs to MySpace and playing early live shows at The Mocha Lounge on the north side of Fort Wayne.
  • Breakout Success: Witzigreuter is best known for his 2010 platinum-certified hit single, "Love Like Woe". The track, which reached #27 on the Billboard Hot 100, was a staple of the late-2000s and early-2010s electropop scene.
  • The Pete Wentz Connection: In November 2009, he was signed to Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's label, Decaydance Records (alongside Sire Records), propelling the project to national tours and MTV features.

Discography

  • Syntax and Bright Lights (2008)
  • Tantrum Castle (2008)
  • I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming (2010)
  • The Bad & The Better (2014)
  • I Will Be Nothing Without Your Love (2016)
  • Cherryland (2023) [1]

Goose with wire on its leg

There is a goose with wire its leg at Franke park. It was by the pond pavilion then hopped across the street by a picnic table closer going towards the playground. I called it in to animal control and the zoo and waited 45 min but had to leave if anyone can help it out.

Gluten free waffles?

Hey my gluten free dad said somewhere in Fort Wayne has gluten free waffles, anyone know where he’s thinking? He doesn’t remember where. Also bonus points for other random cool GF meals in town that I may be missing

Heads up for everyone protesting the Fort Wayne data center: Watch your backs, because peaceful protesters are being flagged by law enforcement.

Recent leaked intelligence documents obtained by Wired reveal that federal agencies (like the DHS and FBI) and local law enforcement fusion centers have started monitoring citizens who oppose AI data centers. They are grouping local residents into a new domestic threat category called "anti-technology extremists."

It stems from the current administration's National Security Presidential Memo 7, which broadly directed the DOJ to target "anti-capitalism" and "anti-American" ideologies. Because the administration is heavily backing the AI and data center boom, local, grassroots pushback is being swept up under this directive.

Intelligence analysts are officially tracking highly localized civic events. This means school board meetings, town budget meetings, and zoning boards where residents speak out against tech infrastructure are being watched.

Everyday activities are being flagged as "Extremism": Under these new guidelines, basic things like taking photos, observing, or legally gathering near data center sites are being documented as Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR) indicators and tied to "anti-government, anti-authority violent extremism" (AGAAVE).

Intelligence firms have been contracted to scour the internet for "anti-tech sentiment." They have even flagged standard, peaceful documentary videos about the negative community impacts of data centers as "potential threat vectors."

Legal experts and civil rights advocates are warning that this broad "anti-tech" label is being used to criminalize First Amendment rights and intimidate peaceful residents who are just worried about massive utility bill spikes and environmental strain.

Where should the fireworks be launched next year?

Im just gonna say it. The viewing experience from the stadium was shit.

Dont get me wrong. I like the tincaps fireworks especially since they pretty much launch one right after another instead of the giant pause in the usual 4th of July fireworks

But the placement just doesnt work for 4th of July fireworks. They just dont have enough height. Any viewing spot you had for last years fire works just wouldn't work for this years. Buildings and trees obstructed all the views.

Is the roof of PNC flat enough for fireworks, it's not as tall as imp but it's visible

Fireworks?

We're two blocks away by the library and can't see anything. Have they started?

Edit: I'm not crazy and they're just waiting for the tin Caps game to be over. Thanks everyone who answered my question.

Junk Ditch Brussels Sprouts

Personally, the Brussels sprouts at Junk Ditch was one of my favorite bites in Fort Wayne (the PEI mussels from Tolon, and the steak tartare from Dana’s are a couple others). Anyone got a recipe for them?
