Any predictions for date of first snow?

u/kirolsen was our winner last year with their guess of November 11th (Actual snow: November 9th). Price is right rules except you don't win anything except my appreciation.

Edit: Keep in mind that the winter forecast is looking like we're going to have less snow

Wood carvers?

We have to cut down the tree over my mom's cat's grave and I really want to have some of it carved into the shape of a cat as a gift for her. It would be a small art piece, definitely not chainsaw level.

I need some book recommendations

I'm looking for books with the concept of nuclear winter / glacial apocalypse. I just picked up the book Fallen Angels as it was the only book I could find in my local bookstore that were listed on the tvtropes Glacial Apocalypse page.

Can somehow help me find a guide on how to use this Instamatic M30 Movie Camera?

I can barely find any information about it online, but I'm probably just not looking in the right places. Picked this up at an antique store about a week ago and am eager to learn how to use it.

Nuclear winter / endless winter games?

The heat is killing me and I am craving the snow so bad and I am unable to get my nuclear winter modlist for Fallout 4 working.

My favorite games are generally open world rpgs (Fallout, Elder Scrolls), story games (Metro, Portal, Half Life) and the occasional management game (Planet Zoo, Cities Skylines). Thank you for your time.

My backyard looks like it's been abandoned for 5 years and I love it

There needs to be some more establishment of pathways to the shed in the back, the old play place needs to be removed and there's some invasives but it's almost perfect. We live in the suburbs and there's always plenty of birds and hundreds of insects.

All this growth is just from this year (other than the trees obviously). We had a patch of wildflowers last year but this year we decided not to mow and chaos seed more wild native plants. It feels like I'm in my own little forest.

(Fo4) Game won't even load into the main menu

It just is a black screen with the loading icon in the corner and is stuck on this forever. I am on the latest version of the game. Please tell me where I messed up because I definitely did at some point. Here is the load order, let me know what other information is needed https://pastebin.com/SrmQq5Gu

Best non-humanoid sapient aliens in film and tv?

I need some Good Shit to watch and I am sick and tired of humanoid aliens. I would prefer if they're not the enemies, but I'm not totally against it.

Are there sapient Doctor Who aliens that aren't humanoid?

I just prefer aliens that aren't humanoid and I am genuinely struggling to find any on the TARDIS wiki. I wanna know if there even are any?

Are there any games that take place in ancient Mesopotamia?

I really want to explore places like Ur and Uruk. I really don't care what genre the game is, I just want to know if there's been a game that takes place in this time and location

(Vent) Why are jobs so insanely soul-crushing

Been job hunting for 4 years and finally got a job (first job ever other than volunteering). Cleaning aquariums and aviaries for nursing homes. Work your own hours, paid for mileage. Seems perfect. One day of training, which makes the job seem easy, then out on my own.

Leave house at 11, arrive at noon. First location I cannot complete the job because I cannot get the hose connected to the closest faucet. Staff are rude, old lady patient continually insults me for the 2 and a half hours I'm there. Feel like a failure. Extremely tired while driving to second location.

Second location. Over an hour late because of first location. Wait 30 minutes to be let in because old man is standing in front of the door threatening to bite people. Get to the tank, draining and filling takes way longer than expected. Staff is nicer, but still complain about how long I'm taking. Other old people are great, though keep picking up the hose. Get job done and leave at 6:15. Get McDonald's and drive home an hour home feeling like I'm dying.

How do you guys do it?

What are these Minecraft figurines from?

Found these dudes in a bookcase. No idea when or where I got them at all. Are they from Dungeons?

I moved in the Lost Adventurer in Gibbi Point and the game spawned an identical clone of him with a different name and age.

He was very attracted to his clone.
