Adopted this good boy two weeks ago because he looked exactly like my 5 year old Lab Husky mix when he was a puppy. Got him tested and the results are in I had never even heard of Chesapeake Bay Retriever before lol. Also malamute and hmmm wolf??? We’re so impressed
I was like 90% sure our girl Tootsie was a Dachsador of some varietal, but Wisdom Panel tests results came back as shown above. Does this make sense? She is 38 lbs and very long and short, with short fur. Is this another case of a Labrador Deceiver? Genetics are weird.
Edit: she’s from near Brookhaven, Mississippi. She’s 2’ long from her snout to the base of her tail, and she’s got about 8” of clearance under her. She’s also a very good girl.

Her DNA came in yesterday and it left us stunned. Our 6 month old whirlwind of a puppy is a mix of dogs we would not believe she could be.
Going through all 14 breeds is cumbersome, so we have decided to tell people her top 4 breeds.

It seems likely that this is correct as she has 2 brothers who look exactly like her.
Not gonna lie. We are wondering what her behavioral traits will be. Also planning to get her enrolled in training, ASAP.

We adopted him knowing he was likely an ACD mix. ACD/lab was suspected. Pretty surprised what he was actually mixed with.
His sister was tested through embark and showed similar results.
We did both tests because we wanted to find more relatives!
We thought we had a beagle mix…but this does explain the herding, loyalty, and energy! Also the sweetest girl (other than the leash reactivity we’re working on!). She’s only 25 lbs. We would never have guessed though. Any other ACD mixes masquerading as beagles and JRTs?
Estimated to be ~8 months old, adopted her at 5 months. Spent the first few months of her life as a stray before being rescued. ~18 pounds.
Also - Honey recently has been experiencing some hair loss and we have been trying different things with the vet - apoquel then cytopoint injection for environmental allergies, plus on a hydrolyzed protein diet for 8 weeks….
So far no signs of improvement, shes lost a lot of hair on her legs and tummy (can kinda tell in 2nd pic in front seat, has happened really fast in last month or so) 😞 we got the Embark DNA + Health test so hoping that may give some insights! 🤞
