Whats the easiest way to mod fallout 4 [Fo4]

So stram workshop doesnt work with fallout 4, and my small brained self doesnt know how to mod.

If that changes anything, the only mods i know i want to add is "diary of a mad man" (or another mod that lets you take out all the factions) and a mod that lets me have multiple companions st once.

[fnv] NVB2 causing game to black screen and not close when trying to close game

So I am trying to play New Vegas with all of the New Vegas Bounty mods installed, but when I try to close the game, it just displays a black screen, and i have to force restart my pc. when I disable NVB2, it closes as normal. Here is Load Order:

[Fo4] Are there any AR2 patches that replace the Enclave's pre and/or post-upgrade power armor with C1ph3rr's X-02 armor mod?

Ok so this is my personal favorite X-02 design in Fallout 4, and while there's a few mods that add it into the Leveled Lists of AR2, none of those mods fully replace the old power armor with it. I tried making a patch myself following some instructions, but couldn't figure out how to get it done. It's driving me insane, and as such, Reddit is now my last hope. If anyone knows where such a mod exists, or if they by chance know how to make such a mod, I would be eternally greatful!

[Fo4] “Out of space” bug

I play on Xbox and I’m attempting to download AGM but it’s coming up with a message saying I’m out of space despite not being out of space. Is there a fix for this?

[FO4] [FO4edit] Having trouble with material swap textures

I'm trying to create highway signs that are compatible with the GS&P mod (basically, adding a "Highway Signs" subdirectory to the "Wall Signs" set). These are highway reassurance shields like the type you see in Fallout NV/76 with the shield and route number. (State Routes 1A,2,6A,9,16,28,38,62,99,127,159,203, US Routes 1,3,5,6,20, Interstates 90,91,93,95,695). I made the .dds files 256x256.

Since I'm working within the GS&P environment, I decided to use the "SignRoad_NoEnter01.nif" as the base mesh file, as it's the perfect shape for all but the Interstate signs (MA uses square signs for US routes with the "US Shield" printed on them)

After setting things up in FO4Edit, the only thing it won't do is swap the tetures. The "Do Not Enter" texture seems locked to the item in my test sign (which I'm trying to put the US6 texture on).

[Fo4] looking for an alternative to this unavailable leveled list mod

DegenerateDak once had a mod, previously found here that tweaked the spawn levels for several somewhat stronger early game weapons so they spawned at later levels, so other early game weapons dont get outclassed.

This leveled list file is now archived as the co author has said it wasnt very well implemented. is anyone aware of a mod that does similar? i have been searching for something like this and have only been able to find this mod

Something is Wrong With all of the Elevators, Please Help! [FNV]

I redid my modlist a bit ago and ran into this problem. All the elevators cause this pop up and are unusable. I'm unsure what this is from and need help finding a solution or cause for this problem.

Does anyone know anything about this? How to fix this or what's causing this issue?

This screenshot is at The Tops Presidential Elevator and after I went to interact with Benny to get him up there, he would walk into it and cause the same pop up repeatedly.

[Fo3] Are there any mods or mod packs to make Fallout 3 run smoother on PC?

I got FNV on PC a couple months ago and set up the Viva New Vegas mods and it made a huge difference in quality of life and how smoothly the game ran. I recently redownloaded Fo3 and it has been difficult to enjoy, even after tweaking different settings, so I’m wondering if someone can point me in the direction of any kind of mod pack or something similar to Viva New Vegas for Fo3.

Fo4 worth modding on Xbox one?

Is it even worth the trouble of trying to do a modded playthrough of fo4 on Xbox one? I've had this game since release with all DLC and it's literally my dream to play a successful modded playthrough of it but I've never been able to without game breaking crashing. I have a friend who helps me with mod stuff and he's willing to help me do my load order but is it even worth trying or is it hopeless? I've heard the update ruined everything and now crashes are way worse not to mention a bunch of mods are broken with no more dev support so they're unusable. Any advice? Suggestions? I have an old Xbox 1 S (the white one). Should I give up until I can get a pc or next Gen console or what?

Hi all, just started modding New Vegas and it was going pretty well in initial tests, but after prolonged gameplay the game started crashing. I have determined the main cause to be distance-based, i.e. The game freezes and crashes if I move far enough from my initial position after loading.

I started out my modding journey by following the Viva New Vegas guide up to the LOD part, and from there added my own mods from Nexus.

The mods that I think could be causing this is probably an LOD mod or New Vegas Reloaded, but I've also hit the issue when accessing the pip-boy several times (particularly when binding equipment to hotkeys and Just Weapon Wheel).

I'm not sure what files/logs I need to post here since I'm pretty new but any help would be appreciated!

FO4 May 2026 AE Build - need combat overhaul help

So previously I was using True Damage, Scourge, Munitions, etc and had a great build going on. Then the AE update detonated my load order like a nuclear bomb. 1/2 the mods received community updates, and the other 1/2 the mod authors were (understandably) like "screw that!"

So ok. I get it. Really I do. However now I'm left with the question of how to rebuild my combat overhaul? I'm NOT interested in downgrading, I'm staying on the AE engine (I don't use the AE content per se, just the build version).

True Damage seems like it works fine, but I either need an alternative for Scourge or a completely different combat eco-system.

So other than, "Stop complaining and just downgrade already!" can anyone recommend a solution that actually works for AE?
