So in a digital only world of games why not just pick PC?
With the recent news Sony made about stopping physical media production on PlayStation games in 2028 and most definitely going digital only for the PS6 i think it’s rather short sighted because consoles sure will always have that casual market of players the ones who buy a PlayStation or Xbox to purchase and play 2-5 games a year usually a sports game or online multiplayer title they’re the gamer that wants the faster possible route from purchasing hardware to playing a game they don’t want to do anything else besides turn on consoles select game play game, these types of gamers don’t really care about digital only so they won’t leave.
But besides PlayStation exclusive what is actually stopping the non casual gamers from going well if I have to play digital only I’m gonna go to the place where online isn’t a subscription and I don’t get punished from modding a product on my own time I paid for, I have access to way way more titles and deals it’s proven to be more consumer friendly.
The gamers that will jump ship to PC are the ones that on average buy more games and play more games across the board.
And yes gaming PC are ridiculously expensive right now but gaming in general is ridiculous expensive right now but if gaming is a hobby you actually have the money to enjoy why wouldn’t you pay more to get the way way better experience of digital only world so imo I see the biggest spender on PlayStation jumping to PC because of this.
I don’t see a reason not to pick pc.
