my gf (22f) and i (22m) are looking to start gaming, both together and individually. we both currently have macs that we run minecraft on but that’s all those can handle. we wanna upgrade to a pc but we’re pretty lost on whats best. we’re not huge gamers at the moment so we’re not wanting to spend a lot upfront, we’d rather upgrade down the line if we get more involved. approx 500/600 bucks. we’ve found some on fb marketplace but im little uncertain about it. what do yall suggest?
Hello all, I want to get a PS2 to just play some of the old games I had when I was a kid. I’m not looking to mod it or anything just want to hook it up and causal play here and there. What model would be the best for that?
Online shooters and MOBA's are two genres I have many reasons not to be interested in.
My aim sucks, I like to pause, list goes on.
That said, I do enjoy watching people play them and do have a passing interest in getting into them, but regardless of all the things I dislike about the actual games, my biggest deterrent from the genre are the players themselves.
It's funny seeing clips and hearing stories about them and everyone making fun of League of Legends players, but the idea of being there myself and dealing with it does not sound like fun at all.
Thus leads to my question: Is it really that bad?
Is it exaggerated? Or a case of "people only talk about it when it gets bad but normally it's pretty chill"? Or is it a pipeline where by the time you reach the toxicity, you've already adapted to it by that point? ...or is it really just that bad?
Okay, I am a single mom trying to bond with her 7 years old. I have a MacBook and I have no idea where to start there are a lot of videos about ( twitch, steam etc) should I get a joystick or not?
Can you recommend me some games that I can enjoy playing with him? what type of controller to get. Also I don't want to harm my MacBook or make it slow. I do design work.
I don't like football but because it's about him not me that's my #1 option, what else?
we tried games like assassin's creed, resident evil, red dead redemption 3 years ago, he's really smart and into gaming a lot. I am overwhelmed, help
How do I make my games (mostly KCD2 and RDR2) feel more immersive? I have great headphones, an 140hz monitor, an Xbox series X. I would like to purchase an OLED monitor for more vibrant colors but they’re so expensive.
Is the modern i3 actually enough for 1440p gaming, or are we just lying to ourselves?
Let me explain what I mean. Two things come to mind:
I'm wondering if you know of any other such things!
I’ve been debating this for a while and wanted some opinions.
Some people I’ve been helping out promised to buy me a Switch 2 next year, but lately I’ve been wondering if I should ask for a Steam Deck instead.
I still love Nintendo, and I’m honestly really looking forward to a lot of the upcoming Switch 2 games. I already own an original Switch, so staying with Nintendo would make a lot of sense for me. But at the same time, I’ve always been interested in getting into PC gaming, and the Steam Deck seems like a really cool way to finally try that out.
My biggest concern is availability and price. The Steam Deck doesn’t seem easy to find anymore. On sites like Walmart, most listings are from third-party sellers charging over $1,000. I can’t find one at GameStop either, and eBay feels a little risky.
So what would you do? Stick with the Switch 2 since it’ll probably be easier to get and has Nintendo exclusives, or try to hunt down a Steam Deck instead?
It is so so difficult to find games that have
I know I'm being picky af, but like does anyone have any suggestions that align with the female gaze. even vaguely...
Looking for co op game recommendations on pc to get my wife into
Recently i built my wife a pc (also my first time building a pc its pretty sick) with a r5 7600x and a 3060ti
All She play is sims 4 loaded either mods and dont really kno anything about games
I want to slowly transition her into games so i think i want to start with a very simple but attention catching game something that would make her want to stay on hours at a time
Any recommendations??
We’re a team of 3 working on our first PC game, Crewed.
It’s a co-op game where you and your friends try to keep a failing spaceship running while everything starts breaking at the same time.
We recently shared some clips and reached 368 wishlists in 2 days, which has been a huge motivation for us.
We’ll be part of Steam Next Fest soon, so any feedback is super valuable.
If it looks interesting to you, feel free to wishlist 🙏

I’m planning to get a Switch 2 next year, and I’m trying to decide if I should hold onto my original Switch or sell it for some extra money.
For people upgrading, did you regret selling your old Switch, or was it worth it?
Ig this was a few years back, quite a few tbh, and I think I was on either a Win XP or a Win 7 when I played it. It was this really old game which I dont think I completed much of. It was named something around tanks, like Tank or something, may be true may not be so. About gameplay, I recall it had like a cutscene at the start of a really old man and either a therapist or a friend that's visiting him. They talk a bit and the old man seems upset or something and then he's handed a vr headset sorta thing (this was an old game so everything on the scene is retro and the headset seemed to be blocky and stuff, like a rectangular headset with offwhite colors) and then we jump into the game which had very weird art tbh. It was mostly like lines and colors fill in the shapes in the shades of mostly red and blue but you could make everything out in 3d, like it was 3d but it looked as if it's a super retro game and made in a 2d way but everything was 3d and you could see it all so too. We first move around, meet a few guards, then get in a tank, get in formation (it all feels sorta futuristic cuz later there's like big energy towers and stuff, but the artwork makes it feel so too) and then while in formation we cross a sort of mountain or something and get ambushed and stuff. And I never get past that one.
It's like one of those games I have a VERY VAGUE memory of, but I would like to find it and play it and like know what it was properly for once.
