How do you manage time for games and your busy real life?

If you have a lot of backlogs, when do you start continuing some of them? Do you actually just play one offline (that have story line to finished) game and finish it completely without switching to another game? Or what if that one game causes you to burn out, but you still want to finish it because you don't want your progress to go to waste? Are you going to hold in for a bit and switch to some fresh new game?

What about online games though, like gacha games? Of course, sometimes you need to catch up on events before they end, even while your real life is getting busier.

Note: It's nothing serious, just asking

Kamvas 13 Gen 3 and the Wacom One 14

Help me choose between the Huion Kamvas 13 Gen 3 and the Wacom One 14. Can you provide a review for both?

Note: I'm not really considering the price right now, so let me know what you think about that later

Should I just buy this one?

I want to choose between the Huion Kamvas 12/13 and the Huion Kamvas 16. But thinking about it again, since my dorm room isn't that big, I might consider the smaller version—the 12 or 13—because I think the 16 is already kind of big? Are they equally good, or should I rethink this?

Is it easy for you to re-replay a series you just finished right away?

I want to ask something pretty subjective. Is it easy for you to re-replay a series of HM/SoS/RF you just finished right away?

Let's say you just finished playing Story of Seasons—you gathered all the achievements, made tons of money, got married... basically, your gameplay was nearly perfect. It could pretty much be considered "finished" at that point.

How long would it take for you to want to replay that game again? Don't you feel like it's too tiring to go through all that stuff all over again, considering how hard you worked to achieve it in your previous playthrough?

What if it's a game like Rune Factory, though? Isn't fighting all the bosses and monsters over again too exhausting as well? Would you really want to do all of that all over again?

If you did, can you give me and example?

(Note: Just asking out of curiosity!)

Genuinely asking: as a girl who hates seeing women sexualized, do you still mind playing games that have female fanservice?

Genuinely asking: as a girl who hates seeing women sexualized, do you still mind playing games that have female fanservice? Are you still comfortable to play it?

There are a lot of games I want to play because people say the story is great, but there’s always a bit of fanservice, so it makes me hesitant. Or should I just ignore it? I am afraid I am not comfortable enough, but idk

Would you recommend Persona 5 Royal to someone who doesn't really like fan service in games?

Would you recommend Persona 5 Royal to someone who doesn't really like fan service in games?

Note: Apologies to the Persona fans out there—I actually want to give this game a try, but I’ve noticed some revealing outfits and stuff like that. I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable playing it, so I wanted to ask first!

I also want to ask the same about Persona 3 and 4

What should I try next

I’ve almost finished my playthroughs of Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny and Harvest Moon: Animal Parade. I know it’s subjective, but which game do you think I should play next? I’m considering Rune Factory: Frontier, or maybe Harvest Moon: Magical Melody or Tree of Tranquility, kind of want to try DS and 64 too. I’ve also heard that Rune Factory 4 is really good. I’ve decided to pick just one game this time because my schedule is getting busier in real life.

Note: I’m saving the Story of Seasons / Rune Factory games on Switch and Steam for later (I’ve already bought RF4 Special and RF5, but haven't played them yet).

Asking about Huion Kamvas

I’m not a beginner artist, but I’m a beginner when it comes to using a pen display.

I’m not really interested in XPPen, so I asked some people whether Wacom or Huion is better. Most people recommended Wacom, but when I checked the prices, Wacom turned out to be way too expensive and out of my budget.

So, I plan to buy a Huion instead. My questions are:

  1. Does that mean Huion is worse? Is it like less durable, or what should I expect?

  2. On the lower end, I'm considering the Huion Kamvas 12 or 13. But if I max out my budget, I think I could go for the Huion Kamvas 16. I’m still leaning toward getting the 12 or 13 because it’s cheaper, but I’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions first.

Could anyone share a brief review or advice? I really don't want to make a purchase I'll regret. Thank you!

Note: I'll be using it for Clip Studio Paint. I'm looking for a pen display with a decent screen size—big enough to draw comfortably, but not overly big since I might travel with it occasionally (mainly when I go back home for holidays). And of course, I need a screen with good sRGB color accuracy and a smooth drawing experience

Is there any funny story from non-HM/SoS/RF players around you that you can share?

Is there any funny story from non-HM/SoS/RF players around you that you can share? Whether it comes from your family or friends when they see you playing?

For example, my friend doesn't have a laptop that is strong enough for gaming, so I always invite her to watch me play or review new games via Discord stream. When I showed her my Animal Parade gameplay progress, she was so amazed when she first saw Selena and said that the dance is so cool. After that, we keep joking about Selena (in a good way), like we always say she is our diva, our queen, and stuff. She even always asks where Selena is, and I think Selena is the only name she remembers compared to other characters.

Or maybe when we reviewed Rune Factory 5 together, she kept asking why some siblings in this game don't even look like each other?

Or when I tried another Harvest Moon, she kept asking why people give us so much responsibility already when we just arrived on the farm? (Idk sis, that's just how the game is).(We played Magical Melody btw).

Need some advice for my first gaming laptop!

(This is a repost, sorry to repost this, I want to ask more advice please!)

So, I bought a gaming laptop about 4-5 months ago. My friends helped me choose it:

it is an ASUS TUF Gaming F16 RTX 5070.

I know nothing about gaming laptops, so I hope you can help answer these questions:

  1. Are there any tips to keep this laptop in good condition for a long time? This laptop is really expensive and important to me, and I take care of it with all my heart. But I don't know if I'm doing it right or not—I just use it like a regular laptop. I do use a laptop stand, and I plug in the charger when playing heavy games. But are there other tips or things I should do? For example, is there a recommended time limit for using it? After I finish using it, can I unplug the charger right away? Or should I wait a few minutes before turning off the laptop?

(This is one question with many answers, so I really hope you can give me a lot of tips to prevent anything bad from happening.)

  1. I have never used a gaming laptop before—this is my first one. What if I play games like those gacha games that take up a lot of space, like needing 50-60 GB of storage and getting bigger with every update? How do you manage that? Can I add more storage?

(I always play those games on my iPad, where the file size is smaller.)

  1. My friend said that no single laptop is designed to do everything. So you have to choose whether you want it for gaming or for making art, or anything else. When I first asked for their advice, I said I needed a laptop for games, editing, and drawing (like using drawing apps like Clip Studio Paint). But I still chose a gaming laptop, so I chose this one. What if I still want to use it for making art, like using Clip Studio Paint? Is it going to be bad for the laptop? Or is this laptop actually strong enough?

(I already checked the screen color, and it is sRGB, which is good for art.)

Thank you for taking the time to answer all these questions

About eyesight.....

Idk if this matches the sub or not, but as artists, we look at screens a lot, right? Is there any way to prevent our eyesight from getting worse, or maybe even reduce or cure it? Any tips?

How to automatically backup Dolphin save files (to prevent losing progress if device dies)?

So guys, is there a way to keep our save files safe? Just in case something happens to our device (hopefully not).

I used to play Dolphin Emulator on my phone, but it went completely dead and I couldn't even turn on my phone anymore. Because of that, all my save files were permanently lost.

Now I’m playing on a gaming laptop, which is obviously way better, but I still want to take precautions so I don't lose my progress again

Note: I don't just use Dolphin—I also use Citra, PPSSPP and RPCS3. Apologies if this isn't the right sub for all of them, but I figured I'd ask here in case anyone else uses these too.

Is it possible to hope that Marvelous will remake these older games?

Since Story of Seasons is having their anniversary stream, I'm actually wondering about a few things. Is it possible to hope that Marvelous will remake older games like HM 64, HM DS, Back to Nature, or Hero of Leaf Valley?

I'd also love to see remakes of Animal Parade or Magical Melody. But, honestly, I really hope HM 64 gets one, but the main issue is that it might take longer since it originally only had a male protagonist.

It might be a bit unlikely since we already got the FoMT remake, but I truly hope we get to see the Mineral Town characters come back once again.

Note: Btw guys, how do they normally announce upcoming games and remakes? (I was never around when those were announced, so I have no idea.). Like, do you guys even expected that GB is going to be remade?

Pen display recommendations?

I used Procreate before, but now I want to upgrade my device and want to try CSP instead. I know I can always buy CSP on iPad, but I don't really like the subscription service. So I will buy a pen display instead.

Can someone recommend me a good pen display with a big screen, RGB color (like the color is correct), and maybe not really that expensive? ( I don't use dollars, so IDK if the price is going to be higher or cheaper later). Even though I want a big screen, I do hope it's not that big, cause I don't live permanently in one place (cause of college), I kinda want to bring it when I go home tho, so I hope it's not that big. Actually, I do hope to get the pen display that "perfect" for artist

If I married Reina in HM, should I marry Licorice in SoS?

If I like Reina in Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns, will I like Licorice in Story of Seasons: Tale of Two Town?

I married Reina in HM: ToTT, and now that I'm playing SoS: ToTT, I checked the marriage candidates on Google and found someone who looks just like Reina, named Licorice. I assume they are actually the same person? But she only appears starting in Year 2, so I'm a bit hesitant.

Also, while wandering around on my first day, I met this... rude-looking lady named Elise. And I kind of... likes her? I mean, I don't know, she seems a bit challenging but looks like she'll have good character development. I'm considering marrying her instead, but my love for Reina is still strong.

Do Reina and Licorice have similar personalities? Who should I marry?

Edit: I'm asking because Licorice takes a long time to show up, and I don't want to waste my time waiting for her if I end up not liking her that much in the end

Is Animal Parade overhyped, or am I missing something?

I always hear that Animal Parade is actually one of the best Harvest Moon games, and I'm playing it right now. I can say it was fun when I first started, but now I'm at the beginning of summer and already have 3 bells, and I'm currently gathering materials to get the green bell. Then I heard that the purple one will be even harder to get. Like, I haven't even played for half a year in-game, but I'm almost done with the bells.

Um... so I want to ask, right now I feel like I'm just doing repetitive things: farming, giving gifts, taking care of livestock, and mining. On top of that, everything feels kind of slow. But is there more stuff to do? Like, I don't think we have heart events—we have festivals and random events, but is there anything else? I'm not really feeling the fun right now, or am I just at a point in the game where you do the same routine until something happens? Like, what's the "fun" people have been talking about?

Note: I'm not trying to judge the game, I'm just genuinely asking because I really feel like I've only been doing repetitive stuff recently. Like there is no something new

Where does Selena actually sleep

Where does Selena actually sleep once she starts working at the Brass Bar? At first, I thought she was sleeping at inn, but now I don't think so. Before she arrived, I always assumed the room with two beds in the Brass Bar was actually Hayden's and the single room was Kathy's—which was funny, because I always wondered why Kathy had a picture of herself pinned to her room's wall. But thinking about it again, since the Brass Bar only has two rooms, are Kathy and Selena roommates then? And is that single room actually Hayden's?

The Brass Bar doesn't open until evening, so I never see Selena in any room besides the bar.

Autumn Sale?

Literally every game on my Steam wishlist is a Story of Seasons or Rune Factory game. I have already bought Rune Factory 4 special and 5, but I missed the Summer Sale. Is the Autumn Sale actually a thing? (I tried Googling it, but I am really not familiar with Steam stuff.)

Since the games are a bit expensive for me, I want to wait for another discount, I also want to buy the deluxe version so that I feel more satisfied. When will the next one be? Also, how much of a discount percentage did these games usually get during the sale?
