I’m a young songwriter and I figured poetry would help this is my first poem so be nice lol

**The journey inside**
There once was a boy
Who once was a man
He had shoes for feet
And feet for hands
He went on a journey too far and wide
But little did he know the battle waging inside
The journey was deep deep in his bones
But the battle still tore tore in his soul
Fighting with demons and fighting with ghosts
The boy realized he couldn’t face them alone

How do I come up with cool creative songs concepts

Im generally a creative person I have so many things I want to say but cant find metaphors to say it with for example dollhouse - Melanie Martinez (song about the fake personas people show) or chlorine - twenty one pilots (about how creativity washes away the bad parts of life) how do I use metaphors like that how can I do that in a way that’s not cringe I was really creative at one point and was able to do that when I was just using type beats now that I’m actually songwriting I can’t do it

Hello there

I’ve lowkey never thought of this but if any one sees this and has any ideas like any old scrapped ideas or something that they never used (preferably similar to polarize by twenty one pilots that’s the vibe I’m feeling rn) then could you comment and message me like a voice memo or something

I’m thinking about quitting music

I’m thinking about quitting music bc I’m not qualified my voice is too deep for the style I like and anytime I try to make a song that’s not a replica of an artist I like or that’s not a ballad I always just sound like some cringey 2010s nonsense I started out on bandlab and type beats with different influences than I do now my influences went from lil tecca and juice world to twenty one pilots and Olivia Rodrigo I love music so much, without music i wouldn’t be here prolly lol but I want to be that for someone else I hate just sitting from the sidelines watching people live my dream i want to be that person on stage and i want to be to someone else what twenty one pilots is to me but it’s so hard i have only one song im making im satisfied with and every time i try to record it’s always “one of those days” for my voice if I don’t make it im gonna be stuck to a 9-5 and I can’t live that way idk why im making this post i guess just to see if anyone else out there feels the same or encouragement idk but I need an answer

Hello

I’ve been making music for about a year and a half now i started with bandlab and type beats and worked my way up to fl throughout that time my influences changed a lot from going to lil tecca and juice world to twenty one pilots and Olivia Rodrigo (modern day) every since my music taste changed life has changed and my sound, also my perspective on music I’ve been noticing and studying what I like about certain songs and 2 major things I noticed are 1. I really like high voices 2. natural vibrato people love , I always feel like when I make a song it has to be a banger since for both of my favorite artists every song of theirs is a banger if you listen to twenty one pilots and Olivia Rodrigo you’ll see what I mean but anyways I’ve been pretty satisfied recently with me being able to make vocal melodies and beats and stuff but I feel like my voice is not high enough and I’m 13 and I have a pretty deep voice I can usually sing along to tøp but a lot of their songs I want to and can’t I noticed when you sing louder you can hit a little bit higher notes but not high enough just sitting there humming I can do it but I can’t out loud I’ve always just sang from throat or chest voice I think and that’s all I know how to do so can somebody give me a tutorial on how to sing basically or drop a link in the comments bc anytime I sing higher I just sound super strained and I crack like crazy and if I don’t make it in music I’m gonna be stuck to a 9-5 so pls help me sing higher or atleast encouragement or proof that you don’t need to have a high voice a amazing song (there prolly are amazing songs out there with guys with a deeper/average voice but they not my music taste I wanna know how I can do it for my music taste and sound)
