Found a new hobby in my 30s - Running Forest Trails

The last years of my 20s flew away progressing in my career, late nights and making monies.

Found myself at 30 with a paunch, being irritable, anxious mess with barely a social life apart from drinking with friends.

A few podcasts and reels in decided to give this running "fad" a chance. I try to run more days than not. I fail to run all days, but well the "unc" life has it's compromises

  1. Found out trail running on weekends make me calmer
  2. Eating healthier to improve my speed- (my current 5K time is 27:30 Mins) slow lol.
  3. Quit daaru so I can run faster.
  4. Made so many friends!! Loved it. Weekend long runs with breakfast rituals.
  5. Finally, been lifting and eating right to try for mountain races.

PS - I am from Delhi, but my account Karma/ age is too low to post in the larger 30s sub. Would be visiting Mumbai soon and would love to run here. Please suggest some trails.

5 Years of never missing SIP - Need advice

Risk appetite - Moderate (20 year Investment Horizon )

31 Age - Reached 65L after investing since I got my internship 5 years back, and then my job few months later.

Investment Goal - Never ever have missed an SIP. The reason being I am shit scared of working late hours and a nerve wrecking job in my late 30s and 40s/50s, after I witnessed my managers. Want to retire by 50 maybe. (if possible). Also I love to run and be part of fitness scene and I am worried corporate ladder will take away the time.

Most of my investments have come in the past 2 years when market has been pathetic (almost 35L of my 52L due to salary growth). Have invested over 15L since the war started and markets tumbled.

Allocation Details and Why I selected these funds -

  1. Parag Parikh - 60K (Selected this as a large cap and stable option)
  2. Nifty Next 50 - 25K (Chose this for Balanced growth and low Expense Ratio)
  3. Bandhan Small Cap - 20K (Chose this for Alpha based on past performance)
  4. Tata Gold - 15K (As a Hedge against long term volatility)

All Bonuses go in Hybrid Debt Fund. Varies every year linked to revenue I generate.

Career progression - 12LPA - 15 LPA - 18.5LPA - 24LPA - 35 LPA in 5 years.
(With additional 15 lakhs this year as performance bonus)

App used - Kite
