Japan Post Bank English Help Line?

Hello!

I'm following up from a previous post I made here

Since then, the recipient has called Japan Post Bank on my behalf to try and get information on the denied money transfer. Japan Post Bank said all the information in terms of how to trace it is exactly the same as what it was originally sent as.

My bank insists that it's not. They emailed Deutsche Bank intermediary and apparently they said the same thing - and now if I want to try and track down where my money is, it's my responsibility to call Japan Post Bank and figure it out.

So, is there ANY way, as someone from America who only speaks English, to contact Japan Post Bank and get to the bottom of this?!?

If you know of an email, a phone number, anything that I can use, I would be eternally grateful. I've been trying to google search this for hours and I basically can't find any form of contact.

Thank you in advance ;-;

Japan Post Bank Failed Money Transfer - No Refund after 30 Days - How to Contact?

Hello,

Backstory:

On June 5th, I initiated a wire transfer from my credit union in the United States to Japan Post Bank account.

On June 13th, the recipient sent me photos of a letter from Japan Post Bank, saying that the wire transfer was being flagged as potential fraud, and requested that the recipient submit documents to confirm that the transfer was legitimate.

The recipient did so, but on June 20th they were informed that Japan Post Bank refused to accept the transfer. The bank wouldn't tell them why it was rejected and they weren't allowed to ask questions about the refund schedule or procedure because it wasn't their money - which makes sense.

Anyway, I've now waited more than 30 full business days and the money hasn't been refunded to my account.

I've contacted my credit union countless times and they seem to think there's nothing they can to do help me. Apparently, when the refund is issued, it's sent back using a different identification code than the one that it's assigned when it's sent out.

I'm waiting on the recipient to send me any additional information they may have, but in the mean time, I'm trying to do what I can to get to the bottom of this because it seems like I'm on my own.

TLDR: Is there any way for me, someone from the United States who doesn't speak English, to contact Japan Post Bank?

I feel like if I could talk to someone and give them all of the information from my bank as well as the details of the original transaction, they could surely give me at least a status report on if it was sent back and when, right?

Ideally, I'd love to get a SWIFT code so that we can see if disappeared at the intermediary bank.

Because yeah, the information my bank is searching up from the original transaction isn't showing anything and they aren't able to track it.

I need to do something, I'm totally at my wits end.

It was an enormous sum of money for me, upwards of 8,000 dollars for a business-related project. Basically the majority of my savings...

I also want to preface, I really don't believe I've been scammed. I'm working with an artist who is creating a project with me, and despite not receiving the payment, they're still diligently working with me. I genuinely don't believe they'd continue to work on my project and give me updates if they didn't believe they'd be getting their payment.

They also have a very prestigious work history and have worked with large brands and artists in Japan.

But yeah.. if anyone has any helpful tips or next steps for me, I would really appreciate your advice. I don't think I should wait any longer, as again, it's been longer than 30 business days now by far. I think now, the longer I wait, the harder it will be to receive my refund.

Thank you again!

Failed Money Transfer: How to Contact Japan Post Bank

Hello!

I recently did a direct bank transfer to an artist I'm commissioning in Japan. Their bank is Japan Post Bank and for whatever reason (probably thinking the transfer was suspicious because it was a large amount and the artist had never gotten a transfer before) they denied it. The money has yet to return to my account and it's currently been over 10 business days (granted, that's about what it took to send it). I'm nervous because of how much money it was and my bank says they can't contact the intermediary or Japan Post Bank? Apparently, they don't even know it's been denied because the denial notice would arrive at the same time the money does.

Anyway, does anyone know if I'm able to call anyone at Japan Post Bank as a non-Japanese speaker and see what's going on? The artist I'm working with says that the representations wont tell them any information because it's not their money.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

2017 Ford Escape vs 2015 Buick Encore

Which is the better car? Which has the better lifespan and reliability (like theoretically maybe not needing as much repair, though I know that's probably hard to say).

This is a little bit different post, it's more of a.. what car should I sell, haha. I currently have the 2015 Buick Encore and I love it! But my parents are offering to give me their 2017 Ford Escape because it's mainly just been sitting in the garage for years (only taken out every now and then to keep it running well). Should I sell my Encore and take their Escape? Both cars are very well taken care of. No accidents.

The Escape is at 63,500 miles and the Encore is 57,100 miles.

Let me know what you think! Thank you!
