Sooo how did I do a curving shot?
Edit: I don't actually want to learn to do this on purpose. It's a why it happened and how do I not do it again.
So the other night at a pickup game I took a shot from around the hashmarks. I usually use an older style sweeping wrister technique. The puck was going top right corner. Except it didn't. Somehow I managed to put around 8 inches of sideways break on the puck like a baseball pitcher would do with a sweeper.
I thought I was crazy until a friend commented on it unprompted, as did my friend who I was actually shooting on.
My only thought is that I shoot right handed, had a fresh tape job from toe to heel, and covered it with a copious amount of the sticky Yew wax. Perhaps I gave it enough right hand spin through all of that to give it that right break?
I just know I'm not good enough to do it on purpose 😂
