The whole fall semester at our UES kids studio is rehearsal for one December production - a shot from the last one

Mods kindly approved this post. Reddit's spam filter removed my first attempt at it yesterday, so this is take two - a photo this time, and no link at all.

Up front so nobody has to guess: friends of mine run Streetcar Kids Studio at 325 E 65th St and I help them share the word, so I'm not a neutral party here.

The part I think is worth knowing: it isn't drop-in fun. The whole fall semester is rehearsal. Every class works toward one production the kids perform in December, with real staging, costumes and an audience - the photo is from the last one. No experience needed to join.

Ages 4 through teens, one class a week. Theater Sundays, Dance Fridays or Saturdays, Music Tuesdays. Fall runs Sept 8 to Dec 20 and works out to $40 a class. Small groups, taught by working artists.

The first class is free if you want to see whether your kid takes to it - not a fixed open-house date, you register and they find a time that works.

Happy to answer anything here.

Kids studio on the UES where the whole semester is rehearsal for a real December production, not just a class

Mods kindly approved this post.

Up front so nobody has to guess: friends of mine run Streetcar Kids Studio and I help them share the word about it, so I'm not a neutral party here. I've watched them build it from an empty room, which is why I wanted to write this rather than just run ads.

The part I think is actually worth knowing: it isn't drop-in fun. The whole fall semester is rehearsal. Every class works toward one production the kids perform in December, with real staging, costumes and an audience. No experience needed to join.

Practical details, since these are always annoying to dig for:

Ages 4 through teens, one class a week at 325 E 65th St

Theater (Sundays), Dance (Fridays or Saturdays), Music (Tuesdays)

Fall runs Sept 8 to Dec 20, and works out to $40 a class

Small groups, taught by working artists

The first class is free if you want to see whether your kid takes to it. It's not a fixed open-house date; you register and they find a time that works.

Happy to answer questions here.

Hi neighbors! 🚲 I'm looking to rent a small indoor or covered space to store my bike near Astoria-Ditmars Blvd area.

Ideally something like a backyard shed, garage corner, or any enclosed/gated space with secure access — just enough room for one bike. Happy to pay a fair monthly rate!

If you have a spot you're not using and would be open to renting it out, please reach out. Even a locked backyard with a roof/overhang would work great.

DM me or comment below — thanks so much! 🙏
