Review of the Remark Quiet Spec Quad Exhaust
Installed the Remark Quiet Spec Quad Exhaust (RK-C4063T-01Q) on my 2020 Corolla Hatch, below are my thoughts:
The removal of the stock exhaust was quite easy, I used a DIY video for the regular (louder) version of the Remark Exhaust for instructions. I soaked the necessary bolts in WD-40 overnight and the bolts were easy to remove despite minor rust (over the course of 6 winters). Exhaust hangers were a pain to remove so I do recommend using the clamp method, or getting the specific exhaust hanger removal tool if needed. For install I used the same DIY video above as well as this one. The bumper did require cutting and there is still some more cutting and filing for me to do (problem for the future). The exhaust hangers for the drivers side does keep slipping so I had to add metal zip ties to prevent the movement at the end of the hanger. The height difference from left double tips and right double tips has some variance, and if walk up to the hatch and look down, the driver's side does poke out a bit more. Fit and finish is not all there especially given the price, however you will have to DIY a better fitment (e.g. with metal zip ties, hose clamp, etc.).
In terms of sound, I bought this one specifically because it looks nice, and from Remark's videos it sounded a lot quieter than the sport version. They advertised little to no drone during cruising which is absolutely true I can still hear my music just fine, or have conversations inside the car. But when I drop a gear its nice to hear the extra oomph even if it doesn't have the power to back the sound.
The price is a little steep so there is something to consider there. However the exhaust fell right into my strike zone and I was waiting for something exactly like this, therefore to me it was absolutely worthwhile.
