Brakes Mazdaspeed vs Protege5
Are pads and rotors interchangeable? Are the calipers/mounting brackets different? It looks like the rotors are slightly larger diameter on the Mazdaspeed
Some MF actually put this back in
You can see where they had to chisel it loose and instead of just grabbing a new screw out the drawer, they put it back! Fucking hacks I work with I swear.
2021 Pro S RWD Traction Control
I've googled, I've gone through all the settings and I can't find a way to turn it off without pulling fuses. The roads in my neighborhood are not paved and I have to avoid some roads for fear of getting stuck because the traction control is too aggressive. It cuts power as soon as it detects wheel spin. It seems crazy that they would have no setting to allow more wheel spin.
Siff suspension/rough ride
Finally got my car together and took it on a first drive. The struts all look original or at least oe equivalent, not aftermarket performance stuff. It rides like it's on coilovers. I've never heard of struts getting more firm as they wear out. Is that possible? Also, the front wheel bearings are completely shot. There's a little body damage in the front and the rear, but not that serious. Looks as if someone ran into the back of the car and pushed it into the car in front. Could a little fender bender have tweaked something bad enough the suspension just doesn't want to travel like it should?
Is there any tuning available for or cars? I'd like to have the creep mode disabled and adjust the accelerator ramp up so it feels more peppy.
I'm doing an engine swap on an old 2003 Mazda Protege5. It was a cheap car kinda use what you got type situation. I have some Mazda ATF type FZ. I know regular Mercon/Dextron is commonly used as power steering fluid. Can I just use what I have or is there some additives in there that will wear out my power steering pump or rack?
The plastic quick connect fittings tend to get brittle and crack with age and heat. Part numbers 800-403HP and 800-416HP.
