I’ve had this shifter/cupholder carbon fiber accent for a long time now. I’d like to replace the driver, passenger and radio trims from that silver color to carbon. I’m not sure if anyone knows a source to get these parts, if they still lay around somewhere. This was like a gem find and wasn’t cheap lol but any info would be greatly appreciated! It’s for a 03 Mazda protege

Recently a cam seal gave out, so i thought i would change the top and bottom timing covers as well because they were shot. retimed the engine, got everything back together and was greeted with this noise. is something hitting the timing cover? hasn’t affected driving at all, wondering if i should just send it. timing kit was done around 30-40xxxkm ago but did not include water pump. any advice?

Engine is a 1.6 zm. On cold starts idle would shoot up to about 3k rpm then hold at 2k rpm until car is warm. Also when driven idle stays at about 1500 rpm and occasionally comes back down whenever it feels like. Then proceeds to climb back up as seen in video.

I’ve also realized that when clutch pedal is mashed down or car is neutralized whilst driving rpm shoots up to 3k rpm. Any suggestions on what it can be?

i recently had the alternator replaced with a new one. since then, when i’m driving and i either hit redline or accelerating at high rpm the battery and airbag lights come on and my radio turns off. mechanic can’t figure it out. they replaced the new alternator once already and put in a new battery but no luck. the issue use to happen after 4k rpm but since the battery was replaced, the issue only happens at 6k rpm or at redline. this issue never happened with the original alternator. only happened afterwards. this is a 2000 mazda protege. anyone have any recommendations? tysm
