Deer Park to Fauquier?

Hello, apologies if I'm asking in the wrong place but Nelson was the closest regional subreddit I could find. If there is a better place to ask please direct me there and I would be very grateful.

All that said, I'm planning a trip from the mouth of the Columbia all the way to the headwaters potentially at the end of the month and I want to stay as close to the river as possible. The biggest departure I can see is from Castlegar to Nakusp. I'd like to find a way between Deer Park to Fauquier and I see there are a lot of dirt/gravel roads up in there.

Google gave me a particularly low-res option that has me turning west at Passmore and ending up near Taite Creek Recreation Site. That's workable but I'd like a local option if that is a bad idea and if there might be a better route. My rig and I are fully off road capable but it's hard to tell if that is softroading, offroading or turnbacking. Also I don't know if those roads might be closed due to fire risk. Any insight from folks who have been up there recently would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Brothers Stage Stop in Brothers Oregon is having a Go-fund-me to pay for final permits.

I've met the owners last summer and they were telling me about all the difficulties in getting this place back up and running but they have been doing an amazing job. Looks like they are in the final stages (no pun intended) and need a little help.

Honestly I think Deschutes county should waive the fees as it is in the community interest to have places to get fuel and food deep in the HWY 20 high desert. Millican is gone now and the cafe/fuel in Hampton is only open 3 days a week. That's 101 miles between gas stations (Bend Shell to Riley Sinclair).

So one of my fog lights is dead and the other has a huge crack. I'd like to replace them (with yellow lights ideally) but the OEM ones are wildly overpriced and all the after market options I've seen are from no-name companies and seem kind of sketchy. Does anyone have something they are running that they are happy with, would recommend and have a link to purchasing? Thank you!!
