An update on my amaryllis bulb

Hello everyone,

I posted a couple weeks ago asking how I could tell if my amaryllis was thriving. Waxed amaryllis bulb started running out of water (two buds bloomed; two others turned brown and wilted). I repotted it into a terra cotta pot. The leaves that were there haven't grown in two months. I pulled it out this weekend to check on it and...

It has roots! They look like plump little white worms lol. The biggest one is maybe an inch long, if that, but there are several tiny roots growing.

I know there's no way of telling whether it will bloom after dormancy, but I'm pleased it's survived repotting and is starting to make a home in its pot.

How can I tell if my amaryllis bulb is thriving?

A few months ago I bought a waxed amaryllis bulb. It grew two lovely flowers, then started running out of water. I removed the wax and repotted it in a terracotta pot. There are six green leaves, with a tiny seventh one just barely visible, but in the last couple months the leaves haven't grown at all. Googling suggests that it's not getting enough light in the east-facing bedroom, so I moved it downstairs today to sit near the west-facing sliding glass door.

Is it just focused on growing roots now? What luck has anyone had with getting waxed bulbs to bloom again?

Thanks in advance.

What non-serious reason do you have to move?

A lot of people relocate for serious reasons--job, family, weather, cost of living, politics, etc. What non-serious reason could tip the balance for you?

I have a Crow Tarot and Urban Crow oracle deck. Flipping through the oracle deck, reading the author's encounters with the crows in her neighborhood, makes me want to move someplace with a roost so I can make corvid friends.

I came to tarot from birdwatching. An Audubon newsletter mentioned a bird-themed oracle deck, so I bought that. Then I bought an avian tarot deck, but it's a pip deck, so I got the Rider-Waite deck to start with. (I love the illustrations there--is it Art Nouveau?).

But when I heard about the Crow Tarot by MJ Cullinane, I realized I found my favorite. It has that Rider-Waite symbolism, but with those clever little corvids. Now I'm wondering if I should complete my collection with the Urban Crow oracle.
