I was looking for insight into how people compose with such scales, from 8-10 notes scales, and what framework u use; do u hear all notes as distinct or some of them are like a different flavor of a couple notes within the scale, similar to how minor scale can take use of 9 notes. What harmonic languages do u employ?

I wanted to do something like that and then morph everything to an ethereal chord, wanted to ask if anyone could advise me :)
If i record a midi clip having rubato, i still wanna be able to use other clips with the tempo within that recording, but its tricky to automate that specifically into a non rubato recording.
If u have any tips regarding automating tempo, share. When im improvising ideas or playing something, tempo is either not static or its static but i didn't have the tempo of the project set to the tempo in my mind while improvising so it makes it tricky.
When doing 8th note strumming patterns, do u have any tips for those time signatures and grooves?
